Vintage car, but more current photos. The NK pictures and period 2000 TiLux ( my first car!)  in the pit area are inspiring. Still racing my TiSa, here are a few photos . Peter

@Jim:

Never saw that Opel head before. Know about the works 2-valve crossflow heads (BTW reproduction available meanwhile) and the later 4-valve engines for Ascona 400 (1978 or 79). Below the picture it says: Special cylinder head for a 2-Liter Opel engine constructed by the author and mounted in a Kaiman race car chassis. Head made by company Bergmann-Stock from Vienna, Austria. Do you have the whole book the scan is taken from and can look up who is the author?

Regards, Lars.

Lars - I found that picture randomly searching for "Dieter Quester" images

Here is the source for that picture - very interesting reading about the DOHC Opel engines (CIH = Camshaft in head).

One picture (not a good one) with an Opel in the foreground and some 02's.

Some really great images on this thread......

I posted up an engine start up from a friends Gr. 2 car (Schnitzer twin cam), its only about 30 seconds or so long so a shorty, but gives you a good "sound track" for that twin cam engine.
