Tim, The sticker on the front bumper is from McClellan AFB, CA - 1999. I leave it there for historical purposes. The original owner was USAF and had it shipped new from W. Germany in 1967. I purchased it from a disgruntled flipper who bought from the OO's nephew last Spring. It had a disfunctional automatic transmission and wasted front struts. Additional detail and mechanical work has been done since this photo was taken last Summer. I'll post more pics this Spring. Regards

Yes guys, one does get attached to them. The Norfolk 2000 has a part of the original bumper with 40 years of base stickers stacked one upon the other, including a Ford Island, HI Ferry pass. It adds to the one owner history. How did you get the picture to show with the posting? Thanks.

Here is a good tutorial on how to add a photo to your post- http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,0/page,viewtopic/t,364661/

Okay

Over the last year, I have gone from none to 1 to 3 to 2 and now finally back to 1 NK

This one got here in November of 2010

Photobucket

But after months of work fixing rust on it, Eric shows up with two nice Turf CA shells, and so suddenly I had 3

So one had to go, so the still plenty of rust Chamonix, gave up its nose, fenders and other salvageable stuff and went to the crusher, it was so bad, Al did not want it! Back down to 2

Photobucket

Had to pick which CA shell to work on, one had been whacked in the nose hard but otherwise was really nice, and the other had a bunch of small issues. So I chose the former to begin and after getting the nose transplant done, that is the route I decided to go

Photobucket

Sam, like me always wanted one and I needed it to go so Sam got the other one and has it in storage in TN now

I am hoping to have ours ready for Vintage. It will have 2 liter motor, side drafts, 5 speed, big brakes and a Vintage AC unit and a fine set of Esty carpets. Cruisin in style will Eileen be.

The BMW 2000 tilux VIN 1451152 was manufactured on October 25th, 1966 and delivered on October 31st, 1966 to the BMW importer Hoffman Motors Corp. in New York City. The original colour was Chamonix, paint code 085.

I have owned it since 2007 - Road worthy but am slowely improving. My money keeps going into the 2002 UGH.

John Barlow owned this car and bought it from Tim Bowser (?) who found it in front of a wrecking yard. He built the engine and got it on the road

TI/SA 995107 Purchased in 1988 in Santa Barbara California. Upgraded 390 LSD, 28 mm F/R sway bars, better euro CR 5 speed gearbox, custom header, Campagnolo and period TI/SA steel wheels, MSD igniton, fresh 2 liter motor with Carrillo rods etc, old beaten to death motor set aside in garage. Soon to be repainted original bristol grey, get dash pad installed etc. I got my first ride in a TI/SA when I was 4 years old, in 1965. I have seen only 8 in the sheet metal/flesh in my 45 years of TI/SA consciousness. My first car was a red BMW 1800 with all TILUX guts and 40 mm webers I got from my Dad in 1978. Peter
