OK,

Here is the question...not necesarily something I am looking at ... BUT WHAT IF...

1975 2002 Turbo

Sitting for 17 years outside, but Covered

Interior is Good...dash is cracked

NO Rust

65K original Kilometers

CR Gear Box

LSD DIff

Sunroof Car

Turbo extended fuel tank

Original Paint

Original Alloy Wheels

Tires are bad (Old)

Does not run...sitting too long, but owner says it will run (?)

What do all of you Gurus think. I just watched theTurbo on Ebay go to 42K and no sale because it did not hit the reserve.

My opinion: offer 20-25k, and if he accepts it, grab it. Spend abut 10K-15K (no body work) and you will have a 50K car to enjoy.

Have you verified personally that it has NO rust? Unless it is in a bone dry area, something about this claim in conjunction with the idea of sitting outside (covered) for 17 years seems incongruous. Keep us posted.

No 2002 Turbos had a sunroof. It is not a Turbo.

The M registry says the Turbos had both a manual and power sunroof option...you can read that here......

Thanks Guys for chiming in...Al... I think you are correct....and about rust... what is the saying..."The English invented rust, and the Germans perfected it!" if there is rust the price will go down from there!!

rey, having seen your body guys' work on the NK, even the little rust can be easily handled as long as car is structurally sound. I don't consider surface rust and little holes as major, especially for a rare car like turbo. Good luck, hope you get it at a good price.

they're all model 73's, but were built between Jan '74 and June '75.

some can only afford to pay $10000,

and others will hold the bidding paddle up until

everyone else in the room passes out.
