will a spare windshield fit in the back seat for transport?

before i go pick one up in the 02. thinking it will just barely fit if i move the passenger seat forward and angle the glass more towards the front on that side.

Absolutely, in a few different ways it should fit.

I leaned mine on the back section of the seat, sitting on the bottom cushion, and "packed" each side so as to not move.

Are you always a smart ass, Bob? I'm at work and I couldn't find a tape measure anywhere here. For once, I had the time to take an hour lunch today to drive across the bay to pick one up at Double 02 Salvage. I didn't want to drive over there to find that it would somehow not fit by a couple inches (due to the curvature of the glass, the dimensions look a little deceptive when comparing to the back seat area). Thanks to Michael and Mike for kindly helping me out.

I transported a new windshield with protective foam perimeter in the back seat of my car from VA to MD without any problems.

In Bob's defense, I used a tape measure to quickly see if it would fit in the backseat (I don't think it would fit in the trunk).
