will a spare windshield fit in the back seat for transport?

Own a tape measure? They come in handy sometimes.

Bob Napier

Are you always a smart ass, Bob? I'm at work and I couldn't find a tape measure anywhere here. For once, I had the time to take an hour lunch today to drive across the bay to pick one up at Double 02 Salvage. I didn't want to drive over there to find that it would somehow not fit by a couple inches (due to the curvature of the glass, the dimensions look a little deceptive when comparing to the back seat area). Thanks to Michael and Mike for kindly helping me out.

I transported a new windshield with protective foam perimeter in the back seat of my car from VA to MD without any problems.

In Bob's defense, I used a tape measure to quickly see if it would fit in the backseat (I don't think it would fit in the trunk).

Jim, I don't think Bob's comments need any defense. Like I said, I looked for a tape measure and could not find one.

I brought a backlilght home to Ohio from Georgia in the trunk, nestled on top of my luggage and padded with a couple of towels.

Are you always a smart ass, Bob?

most of us are, sometimes.

If you're going to call us out, it pays to do so in kind, like

"own a tape measure?"

"ummm, I don't think so, what's a tape measure?"

My favorite, recently:

"Do you have a tech rider we should be aware of?"

"No. Pretty sure we don't. What's a tech rider?"

naw, it's just a way to defuse the diffuse.

...you get good at it up here with all the non- native californians...

I pissed off Michel Potheau once- for someone who knew so much about 2002's

he sure was a shithead sometimes.

Sorry about that. I re-read your reply about not having one handy.

I see Mike Self transported one in his trunk.
