  1. Once. It was like $300 a month for 5 months..10x20. Left the windows rolled down and the battery on a tender in case it got dry enough to drive around For heat I plugged a little ceramic 1500 watt space heater set on 900 watts into the light socket on the ceiling using a combo "plug/light socket". I put it into the car and everything was toasty
  2. It's not sad lol. It's hilarious. I was being sarcastic A spoiled english child sobbing because she'd rather eat junk food than her Mummy's cooking This video went viral in a matter of hours

  4. so funny.... Layla will have to eat Mummy's cooking during Coronavirus ...
  5. ^I agree...and I say don't rely on Dynamat products to kill sound. It will KILL vibration but does an average job at killing sound. Plus it's HEAVY! FOAM does a much better job. Together the 2 products will actually make a difference
  6. Maybe try a set of stock wheels and tires and see what happens... and possibly eliminate some if not all of that jumpin' around on the freeway
  7. I've played with more caster on other cars (Subaru/EVO) with off set bushings.... and it can be alotta fun 'at speed'. My STi had 6.5 degrees of castor and an 11.5 to 1 steering box.... and during one 150 mph run it felt solid as a rock (the only time I've ever gone that fast and it scared me enough to never do it again) As stated it does increase steering effort at low speeds.... but at speeds over 65 there was lots of stability Not sure how'd id do it with an 02. A shortened or adjustable tension rod would be nice... and moving the strut mount backwards.. I thought about it but I think more important is having 'equal' caster and proper toe in (possibly a bit more if you want to get rid of that annoying dartiness) Question: do you have big ass tires?
  8. I gotta say the car looks pretty damn good compared to delivery date. Pretty enough for me to drive....like a clean rat rod style your not afraid to park right up front of Wal Mart with all the fat lazy people
  9. just my take.... but I think people get carried away with Dynamat like pad. Honestly of all the cars I've done this to I've learned you can get away with just narrow 'strips'. It's designed to kill VIBRATION and not noise so much. If one just add huge pads of Dynamat your car is going to get heavy real fast. Using strips I can get away with a fraction of that..at a fraction of the cost That's why I'm so flipped out on the DYNAFOAM type pads. You can use acres of it and not add hardly any weight. It's feather light and is designed to kill NOISE. I typically use 1/8" and 1/4" BUT up to 3/4"/1" thick where i can get away with it. The thicker the better. Just adding a butt load of Dynamat and expecting your 2002 to be 'quiet' at speed is wishful thinking
  10. that's pretty cool. May I ask what that cost for the 123 innards'?
  11. Beyond cool... Best car you could buy for $2500...
  12. nice job! and so lucky to have straight grills to work with I wonder how many cases of the curse are on Catalina? 0? and I didn't know Catalina had an airstrip. that trip must take a only a few minutes of actual air time
  13. resist going to H&R.. PM if you want to hear a nightmare fuel injection story
  14. I went all in. I wanted a real freeway flyer if possible.. I experimented by going 'bout 80 for a good stretch. I put the car in neutral to see where most of the noise was coming from Number 1 noise maker was the motor. Even though I have a 3:45 it was the engine roar that was the big noise maker. I tripled the firewall. One layer being the stock engine compartment layer. One layer of 1/8" Dynamat and 1 layer of 1/4" Dynafoam inside up against the firewall. Also did the hood with the kit sold here by a FAQ member Number 2 was the drive train. I double up over the gearbox/tunnel with the same mat'/foam combo in strips to save weight. Number 3 the doors. Doubled up the 'skins with FULL sheets of both. Doors shut with a nice 'thud Number 4 was wind noise even though I've got good seals. I don't know if you can ever fix that in a car that's just a box with curvy corners and 2 acres of glass'. 5 was trunk noise. I doubled behind the seat with strips but I used the sound killing 3/4" Dynafoam on that. Dynafoam is LIGHT and when used with just strips of Dynamat doesn't add too much weight. Also did the trunk lid with the kit made by the same vendor as the hood. 6 was the tires. Pirelli CN36 have more road noise at 80 than I expected. They are close to new so we'll see if they mellow out with more miles *Note up to 55 my car is really quiet. As soon as you hit 60 it starts to get a little hectic but it 's a heckuva' lot quieter than stock. Long trips are not so bad
  15. Beautiful. Question: If this is going to be an almost daily driver why all the Poly in the suspension?
  16. wow look at all that new snow! we're shut down at Sugar Bowl! Finally we get that Miracle March 2 and they go and close. I thought they might close the lodge, food and beverage but leave the mountain open. Nope. The whole economy up here has taken a nose dive. Not one case of the virus....... What a storm though!!. All cold snow too. No wet snow at all I got 7 feet at 6100 ft.... Sugar Bowl 2 miles away up at 7300 got near 9 feet in 5 days! 1st pic is my back deck. That's all new snow since last Saturday early AM The other pics are just fantasies of what we're all missing. Taken at Grand Targhee, WY.
