  1. First part, she's thinking you're a dork, then oh shit!, then stop messing with me! Looks like a great time.
  2. Looking for a valve cover to put a nice new crinkle coat on while I can still drive my car, and the entire e30 325 shifter assembly- looking to try something, again, while I can still drive my car. Text is fine, 970 to two too 9597
  3. Funny how it works like that- get one thing fixed, relax, hear something else that needs attention... I wonder if that's why they started installing radios in cars- to drown out all the little things people would normally ask about?
  4. You guys would have loved his shop, so full of cool stuff- the race car, the AlpinA, the white car. And so many parts. I had a really nice time the few hours I got to spend with him, I'm sure you guys would have, too. RIP buddy.
  5. https://www.classiqueautowerks.fr/about-us They seem to have Grp 2, 5, zender body kits for reasonable monies...
  6. That's an interesting thought. I wonder how close the '76 '02 seat is to a '77 320... Edit; and no. $452 per pad.
  7. What do you need for them shipped to 80535?
  8. Someone on BAT would probably give you that for it. Are you thinking of selling it? The 2.5 just too much? Cal had a Scheel laying around that I bought to try- maybe because it was original and a bit broken down, but it did not fit my back well at all...
  9. It is the guy's first post... I mean, you didn't click on anything did you?
  10. Damn. Fortunately it's the trusted mechanic and you were standing right there, makes it a lot easier to not be too upset. Still sucks...
  11. Just got an email saying 6 to 8 weeks with an offer of a prompt refund if I didn't want to wait, so that's nice.
  12. Dimensions are very close to the Recaro LSC that's in my car. Side note; my chair is pretty ratty (Recaro), passenger seat isn't super comfortable. Told her Recaro is remaking my seat, which I really like, but it's 2500 per each. And these are 450, per each... So, ordered a pair. Who knows when they'll actually get here.
  13. I don't have a borescope. Have one you'd recommend?
  14. On a small budget, do it yourself. It takes some tools, but nothing too crazy- couple of jacks, some jack stands, an engine hoist. I'm a fan of building the sub-assemblies and installing them as a whole into the car- so the front subframe with the engine, trans, all that crap already installed then install that into the car from below- but I'm lazy. Take a look at some of @BarneyT threads, guy has it down to a science how to assemble these cars. And as others have said, doing it yourself will give you so much of an education. You will feel so much more comfortable with your car than if you just paid someone else to do it. And honestly, it's kinda fun. Last thing. As a whole, it's staggering to think about, so don't. Unless you're Barney. But the whole is made up of a bunch of small steps, small assemblies. That's easier to do- installing the chassis fuel lines isn't tough. Bam! Something done. One little step at a time. Just get started. (Kinda' like trying to pick up all my damned leaves! Cannot do it all at once, so a little section each day. )
  15. That's really interesting. I tried the R100 a while ago and it did not fit my back at all. But this looks a whole lot like a Recaro LSB... I'm going to check the dimensions and see how it compares to my LSC, then I might just need a pair.
  16. I'm using e30 / aftermarket brake calipers. Flexible hoses for that part- but the system is designed around it.
  17. Have you seen the Can Cannon? https://xproducts.com/can-cannons/
  18. No shit, look at that. I wonder why they would choose to have caster be the easier adjustment. Thanks for looking that close and finding the correct answer.
  19. The plates, or at least the strut mounting locations in the sheet metal, can be adjusted for both camber and caster, typical orientation allows for easy, repeatable adjustment of camber- like make them upright for driving on the street, get to the track, add some camber. Caster isn't typically adjusted as often. In that picture, the easy adjustment is caster. Plates are 90 degrees out. In this picture, maybe you can make out the number annotations, which reference camber. These plates, like those on the fancy car, are adjustable for both camber and caster.
  20. I'd argue that car is getting used exactly as intended by the owner / builder. Might not be what you or I would think of as proper, but I bet he's pretty happy using it the way he does.
  21. Ha! The camber plates are sideways in that pic!
  22. It's what blows me away with F1. I can't imagine being able to get the regen so right that these guys can still drive a car like they do- amazing level of electronic control.
  23. Yeah, heard about that- and that it was, so far, just the motor. It'll be an amazing solution once they offer the battery and the controlling stuff to go with it. It's really a great idea; make a kit, let people convert whatever they want, not have to deal with salvage tesla / nissan / whatever- just buy a full kit. Honestly, for a lot of little cars, the PU could be half the output. I would think about something for an MR2 Spyder- it doesn't need 300ft-lb... But 150 would be a rocket for ripping around town. I mean, a 2zz is a nice answer, too, but this is where it all needs to go, he says, as finds the few remaining gas stations that sell pure gasoline, and fills his tank, which fuels a detuned race motor from the most winningest touring car in history, to hear the glorious sounds of individual throttle bodies sucking in all that air at over 7,000 rpm.
