  1. 2002Scoob - On my old 4 speed trans my anatomic, non Roundel badged shifter, would rotate. On my 5 speed it is in a fixed position. I will consider a lighter wood as contrast is good. Thanks Stuart
  2. What to consider when selecting a shift knob? I already know that I want something with the anatomic shape as I like the feel of it as I shift and I would like wood, but what do you consider when selecting a light or a dark wood? The door cards and seats are Marine blue, the steering wheel is black leather. Should the shift knob match the steering wheel? Here is a shot of my interior: I'll do a Roundel instead of shift pattern. Here are some options I'm considering:
  3. Will be there as well. Bringing the complete fleet for the first time. Stuart.
  4. Just removed. Needs sycro work for 1st gear. $400. Will have at the May 6th Swap & Show in Brisbane. Stuart
  5. Will have a serviceable 4 speed from a 74tii for sale at the Swap & Show. 1st gear syncros will need work. Asking $400. Stuart
  6. Dave - I need another piece of belt line trim for my 72 and all the corresponding mounting pieces. On the passenger side, I would like the piece right behind the door. Not the trunk. Stuart
  7. The sub itself or the sub enclosure? If you want the enclosure then "eurotrash"/Jason is your man!
  8. Wow. Fantastic car! I wish I had the space for it as I would find the $$,000.
  9. Looking for a set of Recaro seats locally here in the San Jose Bay Area for a 74tii. Trying to avoid the cost of shipping as I will have them redone. Would like them to have all the hardware. Would prefer an "L" or "LX". Stuart
  10. The pictures will not load. Are these still available?
  11. My 72 had a regular nut with a washer fixed to it. My son's 73' has the acorns with a 6mm wavy washer. I'm getting 6mm wavy washers from Fastenal. The debate is how to finish the acorns. They are currently chrome and look kind of "out of place" on my powder coated valve cover. The current thought is to get them Cad plated in the yellow gold used on my webers to tie things together. we'll see. Stuart
  12. Got some nice acorn style nuts for my valve cover. The previous nuts had washers fixed to them so I need a set of washers. I know it's a 6mm but do them come in different thicknesses and if so what thickness should I get? Also, wave or flat? Stuart
  13. Went back and forth on how to finish my valve cover. Powder coating was the choice:
  14. I would like a piece of driver side door beltline trim with all the need clips and mounting hardware. Shipping destination, San Jose CA 95124. Thank you, Stuart
  15. All - Thank you for the responses. I called Rocky yesterday and apologized. He understood. I look forward to working with him to help me with parts. Stuart
  16. Just asking if anyone has any experience with this parts seller. He has a FB page saying he is from Corvallis Oregon. He says he has parts and is buying a stash of 02s he found and will be parting them out. I questioned him on some parts he sent me pictures of and he said he has not purchased the cars yet. Just want to make sure its not someone shady as the interactions so far just feel strange. Stuart
  17. So according to 2 pretty good sources, these are now no longer available. What to do?
  18. A pointless activity that I will never understand.
  19. Anyone have a rebuilt pedal box for a 73 manual? Stuart
  20. Looks like good progress!

It's way further along than this now. Rear end/subframe is redone. Car is completely stripped down for the body shop in a few weeks. I'm pulling the front subframe off and have found new funkiness that I get to deal with. Patience and money are the main drivers for me right now.

Well, I'm changing direction...I bought a '74 2002 in Fjord a couple of weeks back. Needs TLC but no rot. So, I'm going to package up and try to sell the Tii to someone who can do the required work. The cost for me is prohibitive. Plus, if I can sell the Tii for around what I'm into it, not including all of the work I've put into it of course, then my budget for the 74 turns it into something special! Anyway, what's up with you these days?
