  1. yeah unfortunately everything went in the same bag. When I first got my car I stripped it to the bare shell over the first two weekends that I had it and sent it off for dipping I didn’t disassemble the subframe intil it was off the car and because it was off the car and I didn’t have the proper tools I couldn’t get the stub axels out so I took them to a shop and they pressed them out of the arms and they put everything in one freezer bag. Not the only dumb move I have made on this project so far, but you live and learn. the shims are not in the arms as I checked the arms prior to sending out to powder coating. I did clean up the bearings, spacer sleeves and seals and no shims. 🤦🏻‍♂️ I also noticed that there is some damage on the edge of one of the spacer sleeves so will probably replace that. Also one of the seals was silver and all the rest are black so im guessing that was replaced at a different time during one point of the cars life as it’s in the worst shape as the rubber is falling off.
  2. Sorry for the late reply guys. I found the bag of bearings from when the rear was disassembled and it has every part but shims. It appears that one of the previous owners never had shims in the rear.
  3. Do these count even though she’s not complete?
  4. they fall behind the rear door panels, but don’t fall out unless you drill all the way through. I drilled the heads of the rivets off then suck my hand under and used a punch to push them out.
  5. LOL, I actually mounted the horizontal trim and quickly realized I messed up. Had to drill the rivets out and got it fixed.
  6. Thank you. I thought so but didn’t want to do that and then have to remove them to install the seals.
  7. it’s Yachting Blue Metallic from the Porsche Panamera
  8. it’s the Kooglewerks/ Son Of Cobra Carbon fiber one. You can grab one on Kooglewerks’ website.
  9. Do I need to install the seals prior to riveting these in place??
  10. Hate to break it to you but pretty much all lighting is made in China these days. Holly owns Morimoto who is the company that makes the lights. My father used some in his classic Bronco build and they are not blurry at all and work fantastic. Also they come in classic yellowish white colors and pure white so you have the option of color type.
  11. Both Holly (yes the carburetor company) and Blunt sell options. Both are $399. I like th look of the Holly ones as they look the most OEM but if you want a more modern look Blunt has a semi OEM looking option as well as a much more modern option. 12. Thanks. I tried searching for S14 swap clutch. But should have probably included 245 in the search. Thanks for linking those here.
  13. Doing standalone Motec. Thanks for the info on the ClutchMasters too. I had one of their Clutches in my old civic back in 97 and had nothing but problems with it so not exactly a fan to start off with.
  14. thank you. Do you recommend OEM or are aftermarket (aka Clutchmasters or similar) ok? Also what throw out bearing? when you say minor clearancing need can you expand on that? thanks for all the help.
  15. Hi Guys, sorry to bump a old thread but though it’s better then starting a new one. so to confirm using the 245/5 with the S14 you use the S14 flywheel and a M10 clutch and pressure plate?
  16. Since the car is home from paint started putting parts back on to quickly realize I’m missing a handful of minor things that stopped the process. At least I got the pedals mounted and newly plated latches on the trunk and doors.
  17. Can you link to info about the mod required for early models? I have a 70 and would be interested in these but curious what needs to be done to make it work.
  18. How do you know if they need the shims or not? I looked on realoem.com and looks like there are (3) different shim sizes as well. I had not idea about the shims when I took the rear arms apart for powder coating, I think I might have them still but no clue which one went on which side.
  19. what if you no longer have the shims? Can you order new ones from BMW?
  20. Bump for a nice set of wheels! Good price too.
