New German TRW/Repa seat belts with M-stripe webbing

I apologize posting here but I thought I will get your attention better here. I am offering again a group buy for brand new Repa/TRW seat belts for 1600-2002 and 2002ti 2002tii models but with M-stripe seat belts. Webbing is the high quality brand used in current BMW M and M-sport models, not cheap Chinese imitations that many others sell. These belts will be available in the United States only here, at FAQ, by me.

This is a joint effort with my German partner like in the previous group buys offered here before Covid-19 pandemic. Belts use the latest model of Repa retractors. Total webbing length is about 133 inch similar to original Repa seat belts that came from factory in mid 73-76 models. Female buckles/receivers are about 15" long, again similar to original receivers. Price is $345/pair plus shipping. Hardware is included.  These will fit directly to mid 72 -76 models and can be retrofitted to early cars using several options like Peacock method.  If you are interested  please add your name to the list below, and next buyer can cut and paste. I will take paypal or personal checks. Please add you name and PM me for your payment and shipping information. Initially, I will offer 23 sets (actually 25 pairs, but keeping two sets as spares just in case) and if there is a demand, more will be available. These are currently being manufactured and will arrive in about 3-4 weeks. But, please allow ample time since transportation from Europe can be delayed due to war in Ukraine and Covid-19 related measures.

By pair do you mean belt/buckle, or two assemblies--enough to do both front seats?

Update: first batch of M-sport belts finally arrived from Germany today. I am getting ready to ship the orders by the gents listed above, by the end of this week. Eight additional pairs (16 units) are available at this time. More will come. I will bring a pair to MidAmerica02Fest in June 2023 as a door price, and a few sets to sell if I have anything left by then. If they don't move, I will post on ebay and facebook. Here is a picture of the belts after the hardware installed (apologize for the mess, I use my bed as work bench). Thank you for your interest. You can contact me using FAQ messaging (mail).

My set was delivered yesterday. They look great!! Thank you, Al!! Can't wait to install these after way too many years of being strangled by the slightly too short e28 rear belts in the car now.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
