  1. yeah the stuff I saw online said to not use any chemical strippers with magnesium as it can cause issues. I’ll have to get on Google and see if there is anything in OR or UT
  2. Got my new to me set of BBS E68 wheels and took them apart so I can rebuild them. if anyone has suggestions on the best way to remove the old paint on the magnesium faces let me know. I read online not to chemical strip them and that not to soda blast them with sand and walnut blasting being options but sand can cause pitting. Problem is there are no walnut blasting places here in Idaho so if anyone know of one in a neighboring state or and alternate let me know.
  3. i have the Son Of Cobra pig cheeks on my car and would be rebuilding to 9” all around so unfortunately for my application I would need to completely rebuild them. So would have another $1,000 in the cost.
  4. Love these but unfortunately would have to rebuild to different barrels for my application. So once I factor in new barrels would put them out of my price point. But great wheels none the less.
  5. I was luck enough to get it from the guy I bought the motor from he had it but it was never installed. Only issue was it didn’t include bearing so tracking down new crank bearings was more work then expected as both Turner and VAC said their sources couldn’t supply them any more. I was able to connect with a guy out of Germany on S14.net that was able to supply them and the 2.5L Evo head gasket. If anyone is interested in his info shoot me a DM.
  6. Oh soooo diluting the thread. LOL Pistons go in the engine that goes in my 2002. Last time I check the thread was titled “What did you do YOUR 2002 today” not what did you do to your all original 2002.
  7. Hi guys still looking for a set. Would also be open to a set of E68 as well.
  8. I’m in Boise to the western side but I appreciate the offer. I’ll give them a call and see what they say.
  9. Do you know if that shop will let people ship parts in from out of state? I’m in ID so not too far but haven’t found a plating company up here.
  10. The guys at Ronin started on the roll bar ??
  11. Car got picked up from Paul at Son of Cobra and moved over to the next shop for the next stage of modifications before paint.
  12. Anyone have any photos of a 2002 with pig cheeks and BBS RS wheels?
  13. Yeah figured that was going to be the case and don’t have an issue with that if there is someone that someone can recommend. I had to ship my car to northern CA for rust restoration, its now in Southern CA for fab work and then back to Northern CA for final paint before it comes back to me in Idaho.
  14. The box I saw was on EBay last summer and was just used and not rebuilt. I figured it wou dstill need to be rebuilt but not as extensively as converting a standard box over. Based on everything Furry is saying it seems like buying the IE kit and converting my factory box is the best bet. But I have no idea who to reach out to, to do it since it sounds so specialized.
  15. Ok thanks for all the details. Since you no longer do it who would you recommend to reach out to? referring to the IE kit install
  16. I saw one on eBay for $1200 a few months back. What are they going for now?
