  1. I hope you guys and gals were able to tune in. If you noticed towards the end of the show I wore my dark blue Mid America shirt
  2. I may order a new carb today and sell my old one. I would prefer a manual choke. Is the 38/38 DGMS the same carb as the 38/38 DGES? Just with mechanical choke? I know this may be a stupid question
  3. I just saw it...it comes on at 12pm central time
  4. That is what I am seeing as well. I set it to record the "Property Brothers" at 1:00 Wednesday. I hope that gets the right show for me. I'm set to record at 1 PM EDT. Please let us know if this is correct. You will see property brothers is scheduled for 1. But our producer tells us they will be putting us in that spot sometime before it airs
  5. No they air the pilots at odd times like this. If you have a DVR you can record it
  6. Our show will be airing on HGTV this Wednesday at 1PM. Please either watch it or record it. We start filing the new series in May but they are also seeing what kind of a viewership they get. So please tune in!!! It is called "Property Payday" My 02 is in this show and will be in the whole season!!! They will be pulling one of the Property Brother shows to put ours on..please tell your friends as well. The more viewers we get the better our chances
  7. If I did, I was lying out my a**. Every reground cam I've ever used has needed either larger eccentrics or lash caps. With maybe the exception of the Ireland 'new billet' grinds- I forget what those needed. Sorry if I misled you down the golden path of rocker distortion... t Toby, you are correct. I misunderstood, you said you have used regrinds with no issues, the eccentric part must have come to me in a dream because you did not bring that up LOL
  8. If it was running decent, not smoking and made decent power I would put it back together and just drive it. I imagine it will last many more years. If the engine numbers do not match the VIN then source a decent used block...build a short block, put it on standby and do a swap when the timing is better
  9. You are always a great deal of help..thanks!!
  10. I have a head I just had redone with an new valves guides seals seats etc etc. I have an IE regrind 292 in the head. I have a set of oversized eccentrics to install but wonder if they are really needed. I have no problem adjusting the valves to .006 or .007. with the stock eccentrics I had the machine shop put in. I believe I read a post and Toby said he runs regrinds and has never had to use oversized eccentrics. So question is, do I need them if I can adjust the valves with the standard eccentrics?
  11. Man buy it, get it running and enjoy!!!. Clean the body, spray it rattle can primer gray. If you enjoy working on cars you will really enjoy saving this car and it will mean that much more to you when you are done with it. I got my car from a wrecking yard for 1000 bucks, I fixed it up myself, learned a ton and now the car is a real beauty
  12. This will make my 4th one and I am very excited. It will be a really interesting trip for me. My 19YO daughter is coming with me. That same weekend my mom (born and raised in Germany) and her 2 best friends from Stuttgart will be in Eureka springs that weekend so will be checking the cars out. Also that same weekend my son graduates basic at Ft Lenardwood so I will be driving from Eurka springs to his graduation then back. Thanks again Bo for putting the BEST 02 event on again. We have a pretty large Texas group coming again as well
  13. I say before you start chekcing everything else make sure that guage is grouded properly or you will chase your tail...ask me how I know LOL
  14. That price seems about right. My friend here in Dallas has 2 M1,s A stock Red one and another one, recently aquired, set up for track driving like this one. His Red M1 was appraised at about 250k...prices are climbing for sure and will continue to do so. Also another friend of mine colects vintage Ferraris. Pricing has now reached pre-economy crash pricing and is moving up.
  15. Run a godd ground wire to it and see if that helps. You can also use a meter on it to determine if it is grounded
  16. I am having a head redone right now. I had an IE 284 cam, regrind. Ran it for over 100k miles. I have upgraded to a 292 regrind. I spoke to them about a regrind vs a new billet. He told me for street driving and even for track driving I would never know the difference betweena regrind and a new billet. I think Toby has been racing regrinds for years. You will have to get oversized eccentrics but that is a bolt on deal
  17. Just because you feel the notchiness in the steering wheel does not mean it has to be the steering gear box. Check your steering components first. center link, tie rods, ball joints. Also can be an issue with the strut bearings, or the washer that goes between the strut bearing and top perch. Check idlr arm bushings as well.
  18. If you really want to see some 02's smoke come to the Mid America event at the end of April. There are some long decels and wow talk about some smoking cars!! We should be renamed to Ozone eaters LOL
  19. Did you have new brass guides installed? These will wear over time and when you do a long decel and then tap the gas you will get a puff of blue smoke. You may also want to check and make sure the vent on your valve cover is clear and the car is breathing ok. Just like a piston will displace air when it goes up the cylinder it also displaces air when it come back down...This downward travel causes crank case pressure. I am no pro but my guess, if it is blue smoke, is guides or worn valve stems
  20. I went to a 38/38. Love it, I had a 32/36 before. It was also a nice carb on my motor when it was stock. i upgraded to A 38/38 when I went to higher compression pistons, bigger cam etc 32/36 is really good overall for a stock motor. I think I read about a sync link you can add to really wake it up
  21. I hope you don't mind. I am posting the first Bavaria video in this reply. This is one of my favorite videos. Just in case you have not seen this you can reference it
  22. I ran out of nads at 106 in mine. Car still had some left but not me LOL
  23. His first video is one of my all time favorites...I can't wait for the bag build
  24. Last time I got mine inspected I see the kid trying to open the door. Guess he is used to new cars that you just lift the handle, not a thumb press. So I see him about to rip my door handle off pulling and jerking on it. I tell him to STOP like you did. Then walk over, push the button with my thumb, open the door and say "It's a one piece puzzle". He had no clue what I meant.
  25. Which wheels are those?? They are Beyern Mesh, 15x7 et25 or so. You can order them through Discount Tires and get free installation if you buy tires as well
