  1. interested in both sets of front bushings and the engine wiring harness. please email me at hobibill AT gmail DOT com.
  2. And the winner is....me, for getting such good help off the FAQ. See Harv's answer above. 'Twas indeed number 18 as he predicted. Thanks Harv!
  3. I am an official "probable". I really want to go on this drive, I just have to find a way to mitigate the 4 hour drive to get there. Maybe an overnight in Chattanooga. breaking news: my status is "IN"
  4. More pics of the Sahara 02. I also recalled some other mechanical stuff I did: new tie rods and center link, new idler arm bushings (that was FUN), all new brakes plus rotors, new guibo. I've done a bunch on this one and had a blast. It is good to go now and I need to start on my other one.
  5. Jim, the filler does fit inside the front lip of the headlamps retraining ring. I somehow aquired four pair of headlight buckets, half of which were with these eyelids. They clip right into the ring.
  6. Sold. My zip is 35173. Shoot me a total and your paypal. Thanks.
  7. They look interesting. Better than cutting a hole in the shelf. Does it look like it would be easy to replace the speaker? What's yer asking price?
  8. Gosh I really love this site. People helping people and good info. I need to remember this post for the car I'm building. I'll need to kno how to hook up that idle cutoff in a de-smogged engine. Thanks to the OP and the rest of ya's.
  9. +1 - I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks like this. LOL
  10. I've ordered several items and can say that patience is required. Don't worry, they'll get around to you, I think they have real jobs. I have been satisfied with the products.
  11. Yes Harry that was me. I'm so sorry I missed you. Must've been out driving the new M3; what a blast! Thank you for the endorsement.
  12. This is a true survivor. Almost completely original with the exception of what I have listed below. It has undergone a good older restoration (late '90's?) that now needs some touch up. Runs great and everything works well. Odometer gave up the ghost (OK, everything works but that!) so I can't document the mileage. I have records that say the car had about 130k miles when I bought it 18 months ago. I have put less than 10k on it. What I have done: Weber 32/36 3-row radiator new thermostat new hoses, belts, plugs, wires, coil, brakes, fluids, etc. new tires replaced original tan seats with blue-looks great HD radio What it needs now: touch up some minor rust around the rear wheel wells and drivers door. nothing else! This car is good to go; drive it anywhere. It is solid and reliable. I have a '74 project that's stuck until I make more room in the garage so this one needs to go. Please give it a good home. Asking $5200.
  13. I'm running a weber 32/36 with standard points and condensor. I had the same problem when I desmogged my '76. The problem was tracked down to an incorrect vacuum source for the distributor advance. HTH
  14. Hey Bears fan. Use the zeebuck link. I did over a year ago and it has been smooth sailing since.
  15. Huh! I found my whistle was coming from the trim across the front edge of the hood. I used some new clips and reinstalled the trim. Snugged right up to the body and whistle was gone. Try some NEW clips, they're cheap from Autohaus AZ.
  16. KUMHO SOLUS KR21 185 70 13. Perfect for street use...too wavy on the track.
  17. For lack of a better term, yes you have to seperate the parts. Just examine the switch and the pictures in the link above. It is pretty intuitive but make sure you have a good understanding of how the mechinism works. This will allow you to reason thru the fix of the tab which holds the switch in the depressed position. I think by pulling the switch apart and fixing the problem u will have greater confidence in the repair than if u jusf jammed something in there to make it stay off.
  18. x2 on the collapsed brake hose. Pressure is being held in the caliper and when you pump the pedal, fluid had to move so it is jacking with the levels in the reservoir. Partially educated guess;-)
  19. Holy crap, change that fuel filter. Three bucks at any auto parts store. There is also like a Ford carb gasket that works n ur carb to mani interface. Look for that info here on the FAQ search.
  20. you have most certainly left the bottom plate of the Weber on the manifold.
  21. Is the binding in the stub axle at the wheel? If so, did you change the wheel bearings?
  22. Very nice indeed. It will be a good addition to your next project.
