  1. Do you still have that new meal raised letter hood roundel for sale?

    1. doog

      doog

      Yes, I do.

  2. In need of the passenger door knee trim which is the steel and black rubber trim piece at your..um..knee. If you've got a good one laying around let's put it to good use ?
  3. And I'm looking for the right door knee trim.
  4. So @MitchaPaLoOza88, looks like you might have some knee trim to sell. I'd give really good money for your right door trim strip of it is in good condition.
  5. Justin, just leave the transmission cooling line ports open on the radiator. There is no interaction with the engine coolant there.
  6. Price:: 30 Location: : memphis This is the heart of the best stealth cold air intake you can have for a weber equipped m10. Run air from the snorkel thru this housing and improve your weber carb's performance. This filter housing has been modified but I think it still needs some finish work to fit on the weber. Get rid of that stupid rectangular filter sucking hot air out of the engine compartment. The intake hose can be obtained from Pelican as well as other places. Buyer pays shipping. Full price purchase receives this genuine, authentic, old, BMW 2002 gas cap. contact me @ hobibill@ GMAIL dot COM
  7. Upgrading to the E21 alternator, keep the capacitor on back of the new unit or not?
  8. Don't forget the oil pressure sending unit Mike. Yours saved my bacon at V@V a few years ago. Now I carry two in my glove box; one for me and one to share
  9. You got a beauty Henry. Remember now that the car will need plenty of care; this is not some soulless Japanese car.
  10. Huh! I have the IE stainless system hooked up to a Stahl header. Plenty o' noise. In fact I'm ditching the header and switching to a tii exhaust manifold and IE downpipe to reduce the noise. Guess I am a gentleman after all ;-)
  11. Good place to start for rear end rehab or upgrade for performance. Trailing arms are boxed with welded steel rod and powder coated in black. Ready for your bearings and bushings. $300 shipped in the US.
  12. "I just replaced the whole cluster so almost for sure I know the problem is the gauge itself." Is this what you meant to say Frosty? The other gauge worked in the old cluster but the new cluster's fuel gauge isn't working. Just swap multi gauges and call it a day. Or...do you mean you replaced the cluster and almost for sure know the problem is the sender? Try swapping the wires on the sending unit (in the trunk). Check grounds, check grounds, CHECK grounds. For both of you.:-)
  13. Rob, I've been running the Spal pusher setup w/out mechanical fan for years. The truth is that you will find the cooling of a new 3-row almost gets u by without a fan. While moving in 80 degree weather my temp runs 1/2 with no fan. At stop lights the temp slowly goes up to 2/3 then the fan kicks in and the gauge is back down to 1/2 very quickly. I carry a couple of spare fuses for the fan circuit and don't think twice about long summer trips, and I'm not even 1/2 the mechanic you are
  14. two things: I wish I had that kind of time to follow every little rabbit trail to the final rewarding end. -and- I hope my hack mechanic takes this kind of time to follow every little rabbit trail to the most correct fix. well done!
  15. Both doors, good condition, make offer. Hobibill AT gmail DOT com
  16. Funny. Yeah there is a Corvette under cover in a driveway around the corner. I am told it hasn't moved in years. Oh well.
  17. I recommend running the breather hose to a catch can/bottle. I stand corrected. Jim is right, the crankcase needs to be ventilated so you can't technically just"plug" that opening.
  18. My name is Bill and I have a problem with 02's. I moved from Memphis to Birmingham 7 years ago and while there was terminally infected with the 2002 virus. While having up to three at one time I believe the disease is somewhat in remission. I moved back to Memphis this summer and am now down to the 02 I will take to my grave and a strange little e28 which is my daughter's driver. I believe the disease will remain in check due to the outstanding assistance I receive from the city of Germantown. Alabama was an enabling state, they didn't care how many rusty euro cars were strewn about my property, in fact it was quite the status symbol to have a BMW on blocks in your front yard. But Germantown, let me tell you, I had a perfectly good 02 in the driveway without tags, and the seat removed for reupholstery. Within 10 days of moving I had a letter from the city telling me to put it in the garage or they were going to have to tow away the"eyesore". Nope, no more projects on the horizon for me. Anyway, I would like to hear from faq'ers in the area. Hobibill AT g mail DoT c o m
  19. Hmmm, you should plug the open port of the valve cover as well. If you don't you are just slinging oil all over the engine bay.
  20. Yep, that's the site. It's almost as good as the 2002faq:-)
  21. Met a fellow faq'er and BMW sicko in Fayetteville GA today and thought I could look him up through one of these features. How long have they been down? Anyway, hello kbbmw. The e28 drove like a dream to BHM, well, except for the shakes. I found a e28 forum which may be helpful. Thanks for your insight on the problem. Bill BTW- I gave you the wrong username, it is hobibill on some other boards.
  22. you're talking rear belt..right? Check with Al Blue Devils.
  23. there was no shim present but spacer looks and measures out OK.
  24. I think these are, to use c.d.'s term, TOAST! I've had many old cars over the years and never have seen anything like this.
  25. Follow up: After 60 miles this hub is loose again. The stub axle must be shot or must be assumed to be. New axle to be ordered.
