  1. You're too funny esty. I sent this listing to a friend in need of just such a set. I hope he's ready for carpet now. Good deal.
  2. A little more than a year ago I got a '76 o2 that had beensitting for 10 years. The very first thing I did was have a reputable mechanic check the car out. This is so worth the $100 to get an expert report on the state of afairs. Luckily I had no major mechanical issues to address so I followed the course described above somewhat: 1) tires- you have to be confident in ur rubber 2) fluids- change every drop of coolant, lubricant, hydraulic and gas in the car. EVERY DROP. Brake fluid being most critical just behind engine oil. New fuel and oil filters too, of course. 3) suspension- I updated all of the steering links first. You must be in control of ur ride. 4) major tune up- this included points, condensor, rotor, cap, plugs, plug wires and coil. Also with this process it is critical to adjust your valves. 5) now replace all belts and hoses- of course it is smartest to replace the hoses and thermostat with the coolant change. 6) STOP- if the car was in relatively good shape when it was put up, now is the time to drive it. Really drive it like you plan to everyday. Take this time to asess further needs, they will arise. Plan on brake pads and rotors to be the first need and hope the calipers and lines are ok. Does it need shocks, exhaust, carb, etc. How are the electrics? All of this was done with the help of the good people on this FAQ. You should easily find some FAQer in ur area willing to help/advise. Good luck, see u on the road. -Bill
  3. Nope, see for yerself;-) Please note 1) there is a crack in one lens you can see in the picture and 2) I have not cleaned these up.
  4. This is about as good a used set as you're going to find. They are complete with chrome bezels and good gaskets (add your own bulbs). I was hoarding these for myself but need $$ to buy another part. $100 for the pair shipped in the U S of A.
  5. Crap! I hope mine turns out that nice. Might be worth the asking price if the engine and suspension are as nice as the interior.
  6. Let's review: Total unknown "mybmw2002" shows up out of the blue asking more than top dollar for an interior and gets abusive when called on it. I think by running down an esteemed member of our comunity you have severely harmed your chances at selling on this board. Not that many (any) $4k interiors are offered for sale here so you're fishing in the wrong creek anyway. Try eBay. Or Bimmerforums...yea, they have lots of money over there. LOL
  7. try: www.fastenal.com That's where I got my M8x60's for the o2. You want socket cap screws and top lock nuts.
  8. So that's what my ex-wife did with them!
  9. What product have you used/results have you had in refinishing aluminum bumpers and trim?
  10. Hardy Har and all that but it isn't really funny to me because I am selling all of this because of extreme financial hardship. Hopefully this sells so I do not have to sell the car itself. I don't really find that funny truth be told. Sell the car. That assortment isn't going to bring enough to buy lunch...really.
  11. email sent on the heater control dash plates.
  12. It's a DeThomaso Pantera penned by Ghia next to the Porsche.
  13. Thanks everyone. Looks like I'll be pulling the front covers off as well, which I'm sure will lead to even more project creep. Better than playing Zork was on my Commodore 64.
  14. Maybe they should, mine sure have been using them a lot lately. Sorry Vlad I couldn't resist;-)
  15. How lucky! I had to put mine up on jackstands myself. Maybe I should have shopped a little longer. LOL
  16. a little help. anyone know where this coulda come from?
  17. Arrrgh! Bricklin? They're spinning in their graves at Ghia. Pantera....oh just the thought of it makes me , well, um, aroused. And I'd bet that's a Capri next to the tii. Not so arousing. Wait Jim, I think you're right that's too much bumper for a Capri. Yep Pinto or Maverick, either way not so arousing.
  18. No Huff blanks but really can't beat $27 to cut two different type keys from codes and shipping to the US from Australia. Or as I told my wife: Keys cut in Austalia on Italian blanks for a German car for a customer in the United States. Thank you Al Gore for the World Wide Web. I'll get the blanks from Blunt and make copies locally.
  19. I was 17 and working at a car lot in Champaign, Illinois; Ken's Kwality Korner. No kidding, that was the name. Anyway, in trade he had taken a 76 polaris sunroof o2 with blue interior. I spent the summer driving around town picking up parts, dropping off and picking up customers. That was the hottest little thing I had driven. In the 33 years since I have owned more cars than I care to count but always had fond memories of that car. For about 8 years in the 90's I had a TR-4A and remember thinking how much further advanced the engine was in that little o2 I had encountered. Now I have a polaris sunroof o2 and will be installing the blue interior just before driving it to V@V 2011 (I hope). Why the heck am I all of the sudden having trouble uploading pics?
  20. These guys are the real deal: www.keys4classics.com I gave them two codes, one from the trunk lock and one from the door lock. In a little over one week I had two shiny new keys in my hand. Highly recommended, ask for Stuart.
  21. nice product, we all need a tool roll. I got the real deal off this forum with tools for the crazy low price of $40. But mine's an antique made by Helga in 1976 so I doubt it'll take the licking this cordura roll will.
  22. I'm kinda there with you Pat. I put the Weber 32/36 on my auto a while back and am not sure I see any gains but I do see a MPG loss.
  23. Brand new, chrome plated steel alloy - not plastic. Exact weight and feel of the original Talbot Berlin. $35 shipped in the U S of A. (DISCLAIMER: shipping to other countries or continents may be accomplished at higher rates, not responsible for delivery problems caused by border disputes, drug wars, jihads, etc., some customs restrictions may apply, an equal opportunity shipper.)
  24. So cool! That could be a proto-mockup of the Reich's Volksjet.
  25. what do you want in trade? i have a clardy console front panel crudely covered in blue vinyl. LOL seriously, I'm interested.
