Supposedly it's a euro delivery nearly one-owner car. I wish it had the original radio. It also has some electrical issues. No horn or headlights mostly. When I try to flash the high-beams or honk the horn the digital clock dims.

Anyone know of a good talk forum based E21 website?

If you decide to part out your E21, the 320is that you scored is the most sought after by 2002 enthusiasts.

Your car contains the following parts that 02 enthusiast covet.

-Recarro seats

-E21 sport steering wheel

-limited slip

-5 speed

-13" BBS wheels

The motor is a M10 1.8L

These sport model E21's used to be found in the pik-a-part yards but E21's are now very rare in the pik-a-part yards (lots of E23/24/28/30's). Great score, drive it till it dies then move the parts over to your 2002.

you'll fall in love with like you did your o2...i have an 83 alpine white is and love it...it's not an o2 but it's a great car for cruising down the freeways...i drive it much more than i do any other car i own

after i owned it just a short while, it developed a slight miss...a vac leak..i couldn't run it down and out of disgust put an o2 intake and weber 32/36 on it and much to my surprise it's peppier and runs smoother than it ever did with the injection

Yeah. I tried popping out a relay and really had to pry it out. So I guess I start with rehabbing the fuse box.

It is a sweet car to drive. I told my wife it's more akin to her E46 than to the '02. Can't believe how quiet the cabin is even with the sunroof open.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
