"The Stance Thread"

My kit was supplied by cj who did the organisation with GC - They shortened the struts and fit the coilover unit circa 2008 (IIRC). Maybe they've changed the design since? I can't see it on their site anymore, but they used to do a whole front and rear setup which is what I got. Pic for reference at highest setting.

Car sits nice Tom.

Uggggh. I get to post pics of my new setup AFTER Tom shows off his stance-porn! Just kidding Tom... car looks menacing in that photo.

Still fooling around with the right combo of lowering/camber but I think I'm pretty close. My setup:

Complete Ground Control 2002 kit

Schmidt TH lines: front 15x7 et 25 195/50 15 with 3mm spacer, rear 15x7.5 et 18 205/50 15 no spacers

Walter: You want a toe? I can get you a toe, believe me. There are ways, Dude. You don't wanna know about it, believe me. I'll get you a toe by this afternoon--with nail polish...

Aaron - that looks AMAZING!!! Love it with the GC's, seriously cool look you have going on. Any rubbing? At least you have a 45 profile still up your sleeve!

Its been great watching your car come together. Now where are those spike caps you keep telling us about :P

I have the spike caps in hand Tom, but the problem is that the bolt on the rear hub sticks out too far to mount them! I'm looking for someone willing to turn me a set out of billet aluminum on a lathe... They would have to stick out farther though and be hollow inside... any takers?

Here's how they look. Not my picture though... I don't go for gold dice valve caps!

Hi Oz-Tom

I like the way you set up your '02! I'm doing a 1974 2002 Baur (1974 ute!) right now, can you share with me your suspension setup; and does it rub? (fenders rolled or not rolled)

Cheers!

-S

Hi S,

Shortened GC adjustable coilovers, Koni insterts, 300 or 350lb Eibach springs, i can't remember the rate. Rears an Eibach spring and Koni shock combination.

Rear lips are shaved but with fitment it will more be up to the actual set of wheels you'll use and the tyres you choose to put on them whether they'll fit. Good luck with the Baur!

Tom
