  1. Good seeing you John! Decks are meant to be used
  2. I'm glad I did mine 11 years ago when parts were much cheaper. No way I could do it today.
  3. 195/50, your offset should be et33. 195/55 series may be too tall & 205 may be too wide for 6.5 width.
  4. 2900 miles?!?! I would have driven the snot out of it! Just glad he swapped out those e39 wheels that didn't do the car justice at all.
  5. I did my s14 swap 10+years ago and it has been very reliable. I've never tracked it but have DD it alot over the years. I wouldn't be able to do it today with the parts in it's current value. SInce you have most of the pieces, I would vote yes for the s14. With that said, i would love to have a stroked m10 too!
  6. This is the first SoCal vintage show that I've missed due to the date. Hoping it will change next year. Will catch up with you soon, maybe at Centro Basco!
  7. SoCal Vintage has always been a great show. It probably takes a full year of planning for John and Jeff to pull it off so efficiently. My only complaint is that this year it was on Halloween!
  8. Lenny, I remember the first email from you dad thanking me on my positive comment of his signature picture that he would post of him, you mom and the pair of 02s. We ended up chatting not just about 02s, M cars but family. There are a lot of good people on the FAQ and Bob was on the very top of that list. This pic was probably back in 2010-11 when you were restoring your M3. He was obviously a very proud dad. Hope you and you family find peace during these hard times. -Ray
  9. Get well soon Ryan! 02s can be repaired or replaced.
  10. Ah man, leave it back up! I was going to be the 1st to post "nice photoshop skills" earlier but didn't want to spoil it.
  11. I just ordered! Anyone know a good shop in LA that can do the conversion? I guess I can get 2 and do it myself. At this price, it's worth it.
  12. LOL, I appreciate the offer but no need.
  13. Did you ever pay for M5 #2? I took it out of the 500.00. I can jab you all day but we're boring the tears oiut of these poor car folks.
  14. I would never leave the FAQ! Just this tread. Shit, I broke my promise already! On an off note: Is everything you see on the interenet still fact on April Fool's Day? edit: so i think you were just refering to this tread,
  15. For Danco's entertainment purpose only!! Ray, yes, I've known you since about 2007, but the truth is that I don't know you that well. From what I gather, you have, or had, a real estate license, an auto dealership and you play poker. I also believe that you're somewhat intelligent. I'm actually quite stupid. Ask my ex-wife. I also like hookers and heroin. Let me see, You have been to my home, my dad's home, we've broke bread together more than a few occasions and have had beers. I've went out of my way to look at cars and store them for you. Driven probably over 4k miles to help you. You've invited me to visit in Vietnam with your family. If we weren't friends, then you know why I'm calling you an ungrateful asshole. My brother whom you have had lunch with also is LOLing and shaking his head at me for being a fool. So, we’re friends or used to be, but as I told you before, anybody that knows me knows that I don't play around when it comes to business. We were doing business. I show three timely PayPal transfers made to you for your services: $850 on 04/25/14 - For an OEM exhaust that instead went to paying you for your help Do you not remember the registration and smog for #1 M5?? You have the amount but it was close to 600.00+. Plus the car cover was 130+. I stored it for you around 2 months at my place for free. I basically got gas money and a Happy Meal for waiting at the DMV for 2 hrs. And I think you fogot that I took 3 hrs out a workday to drive to Hungtington beach to look at that 911 for you. $500 on 06/05/14 - For transport/parking/storage advance for M5 #1 ok, everything went to my dad for storing both your M5s. You were going to pay 250/month for one car. Helping a friend, I think so. Your M5 got 10mpg on a good day. It was a 360 mile trip, you do the math. 500 indoor covered parking for 2 cars for 6+ months! deal! $450 on 10/03/14 - For your trip back to Stockton to store M5 #2 What about trip #3 for you to get M5 #1? What about trip 4 to get M5 #2?? all 700+ mile roundtrips Total: $1800 Do you need change because there isn't any During this whole time everything was agreed upon with no problems and I thanked you many times for your help. This is true. Trust issues arose when I gave you a personal loan of $5000 at your request. First payment - on time. Second payment - on time. Third payment - nearly three months late. For the curious, I cut out the useless part of this conversation that you can reference up top if you need to. This was a business loan, not a personal loan. Full contract made by you with a collateral from me. 3rd payment was late, yes. 3 months-doubt it but can check my records if it really matters. Did I not repay you with full interest and any late fees that we agreed upon? You offered that I did not have to pay the late fee. I said it's business and paid it anyway. True?? I believe so. Were you paid in full with all agreed interest and and fees? yes. Is this anyone's business? I guess it is now. When I left that day on January 13, 2015 with one of the M5s I forgot the car cover in the garage. I also didn't bother checking to see if the new headliner was in the other M5. (By the way Ray, did you ever get a chance to find my service records for M5 #2? Yes, there were records. Service Records for M5 #2 Gone. Thanks Ray! I won't hesitate to call you careless in this case.) You bought M5 #2 out of portland or washington and had it shipped directly to my dad's house. The owner had tucked all the paperwork inside the car. I had my dad look all over the car for the title that you said was in the car which the owner ended up sending directly to you instead. My dad is 78 and English isn't his first language. He doesn't know exactly what he pulled out of the car. I didn't see the car for about a week until I drove up to park it. I never saw the records. My dad said whatever he pulled out is whats in the car. The PO also said he had the title in the car. He didn't. He probably didn't have the records in there either. Go bash him on the internet. So, when I made the second trip to your parent's house to pick up my other M5 on January 25, 2015, I asked you about the car cover. You said that you thought it was yours and you took it down to LA in the M3. Really? You helped me buy that car cover, unboxed it and fitted it onto two different M5s over a period of about 8 months and you’re saying you thought it was yours? Ray, I’m disappointed, that was an insulting and stupid answer. I have car covers for my M3 and my 2002. As a matter of fact, I had an extra cover for your #2 M5. I don't remember this conversation. I'm not sure why I would need to lie about your car cover So then I ask you about the headliner and you said it’s in LA. At this point I'm saying to myself, WTF? What the hell are you taking something out of my car that was included in the sale? And if you left it in LA back in June of 2014 when you drove it up to Stockton, why is it that you are finally telling me about it late January 2015? Makes me wonder, if I hadn't had asked about the two items, would they have been forgotten? Surely Ray, you didn't bother to remind me about them, “which is weird on a few different levels.” So before I left your parent's house that day on January 25, 2015, you said that you'd send the two items. I said okay. So over the next couple of months I text you request to send. First request - January 29, 2015. Your reply, "I won't be back in LA for a few weeks". Second request - clarification to different address - February 5, 2015, Third request - February 7, 2015. No reply. Fourth request - March 2, 2015. Ray asks for address again. Apparently he hasn't blocked my number. If my “headliner and cover was sent back to you (me) months ago” why did you reply text for the address again on March 2, 2015? HUH?? I'll break this down if I need to. What do I want with your headliner and car cover anyway?? Fifth request - March 14, 2015. No reply. According to Ray he has blocked my number by this time. Ray, we both have iPhones and we communicate using iMessage and FaceTime. All of my text messages up until March 31, 2015 have been marked 'Delivered'. Just to make it clear, I didn't block you because I was avoiding you about your items. I still have my info@elefantsupply.com email. I'm on IG and FB and here. I blocked you because I didn't want to see you text with links of cars you want and to bullshit with you anymore. Do we sound like sour lover??... March 31, 2015, items still have not been sent. “The new headliner in the box was too long to bring up with a co-pilot so I left it behind in LA to send to him at a later date. Galen saw the cover in the garage when he came to pick up one of the cars. He just forgot to get it. I ended up going back to get it.” The E28 is a fairly roomy car, with your common sense, I’m sure you could have managed somehow to get it in the car with a co-pilot. I drove my mom back home with me on this trip and she had a few items. So no, there was no room. Now you might think I was doing her a favor. But I drove my mom up in you M5 during 4pm LA traffic in the 90 degree heat with No AC, no radio with the windows open in a car that had literally an open exhaust for 360 miles. I told you about it and you said the same thing...poor mom. I forgot to mention the constant heat from the floor. The car cover and the headliner were not at your parent’s house when we last met there on January 25, 2015. The cover was there on January 13, 2015, so how could you have ended up going back to get it to return it to me? I believe you took it with you to LA after our first meeting at your parent’s house on January 13, 2015. Correct me if I am wrong. You're wrong “I've made the 700 mile round trip 4+ times to store and/or have him get his cars. He did pay me for the first few trips for my gas and trouble but not close to what I have into it to help him out. I was never in it to make money off him.” As I recall, I asked you prior to each of your trips when it would be at your convenience to go from LA to your parent’s for whatever the reason. So, basically, you were going up there anyway and you got paid for it. It was never convenient for me, these were 700 mile 2 day weekend trips. It was what was less inconvenient for me to help a friend. ok, Yes I did get to see my dad for making these trips. When you came back from Vietnam to pick up the cars, you were on a tight 2 week schedule. I came up twice to meet with you. The last trip I was suppose to met you on sat but ended up meeting on monday and missed 1.5 days of work because of your timeline. I didn't complain about it because again, I thought I was helping a friend. None of these 2 trips which you even offered to pay for nor did I ask. BTW, where is Waymon, you friend from HS? He was there and you guys were arguing because he said you were an "ungrateful" blip blip blip when he went to check a car out for you!! Get Waymon to post! “The last text i had with him was getting the address to where he wanted me to send his stuff, which I paid for to send. After that last text, I just blocked him out completely since i figure I didn't need friends like him in my life. But he has not tried to reach me any other way until now. which is weird at a few different levels.” After not receiving the items, I tried texting, calling and emailing. No reply from you. Nothing. Sorry, this post was a last resort. See above why I blocked you. If you didn't want to find me via text, you could have just made a post looking for me. When you said I stole you items, you crossed the line. Like I said, I'm pretty stupid and slow but I don't screw people. Not even strangers, much less friends. Or ex-friends Ray, I really don't care if other people think you're a cool guy. Please just send my my items ASAP. My goldfish tells me I'm cool everyday, I don't need to hear it from people. Too bad, I don't have you stuff anymore. And if there was an issue, I would have made it right no matter what. But you went into full retard mode so... Sooo, as of this posting I still have not received any messages from Galen. I will unblock you to make it easier for you to reach me so we don't drag this on. FYI, MY LAST POST HERE. I promise....
  16. Sorry Jim, I only know how to rip the headliners out, not install! But it'll be quick & clean and you won't know it's gone til the morning
  17. PS: thanks to everyone for coming to my defense. I'm sure everyone knows this isn't about me trying to sell anything. Love you FAQ!!
  18. So I was going to let this tread die but "stole" is too strong of a word to let go. The headliner in question came with the M5 that Galen bought. I helped hm look at the car, picked it up for him and drove it up to NoCA to store it for him at my dad's house until he came back to the states from Vietnam. At that time, I helped order a car cover from Summit for said M5 that was also in question. The new headliner in the box was too long to bring up with a co-pilot so I left it behind in LA to send to him at a later date. Galen saw the cover in the garage when he came to pick up one of the cars. He just forgot to get it. I ended up going back to get it. In the meantime, he bought another M5 and had it dropped off at my dad's house. I came back the next weekend to park it in the garage. My dad hasn't driven a manual in 30 yrs so I wasn't going to have him chance it! LOL. Anyways, Galen was going to park one car in storage in SF for 250/month. I offered my dad's garage and charged him 75/month for both cars. Both cars were stored for 6+ months. I've made the 700 mile round trip 4+ times to store and/or have him get his cars. He did pay me for the first few trips for my gas and trouble but not close to what I have into it to help him out. I was never in it to make money off him. There were never any issues with the M5s when he picked it up during this whole time but I did still had to send his cover and headliner to him. The sad part is I've know him for over 10 years and he turned out to be an ungrateful asshole. He posted on FAQ that he needed to roll his fender. I had CJ's roller and offered to let him use it at my house and that's how we first met. The last text i had with him was getting the address to where he wanted me to send his stuff, which I paid for to send. After that last text, I just blocked him out completely since i figure I didn't need friends like him in my life. But he has not tried to reach me any other way until now. which is weird at a few different levels. Anyways, sorry to the FAQ again for wasting bandwidth again but I'm sure some of you were curious. Even if he replies here, I'm going to try hard not to respond and drag it out. But I doubt he will. Galen, I hope to see you on the street one day. I know you'll turn around the other way if you saw me : ) ....I'll be waiting for your PM, email, letter, etc.
  19. Hey Galen, send me a PM with your email and I'll reply to you. Your headliner and cover was sent back to you months ago. You better check with your "receiver". Sorry, I blocked you out from my email and cell after I sent your stuff to you FAQ, sorry for wasting bandwidth. None of this stuff was "stolen" BTW. LOL
