Only saw one 2002 at the Rolex 24 this past weekend

My two sons and I attended the race this year. We walked every inch of that place, and there were interesting cars everywhere in infield and the parking lots. I expected to see more 2002's but alas there was only one we could find. It was a very cool '74. The guy was from a town outside Savannah. We ended up meeting him at a gas station on the way home. I've got a ton of photos from waling around, but I thought I'd attached a couple you all might be interested in.

I think its been at The Vintage. Looks familiar neat car.

If the license plate was "Tetanus" then it's been at Vintage.

Otherwise, maybe it was the tii that was on EBay a few weeks ago down in Naples FL...

License plate wasn't a vanity plate. He was in a hurry at the gas station. It was a Bucees, so I assume that was code for "Let me get the hell out of here before I spend too much money." We didn't chat long, but he said he'd owned it for a long time. I didn't ask him to pop the hood, but he said it had a mild M10 and a 4 speed. Interior looked pretty stock except for a set of Recaros. Overall, it was a very cool presentation. You can't see it in the photo I posted, but the driver/passenger doors are sprayed flat black, and have the logo of the shop he used to run just outside of Savannah. Which I gotten better photos, but I always feel weird photographing someone's ride when they're in the car.

I love the 3.0csl racecars with the Batmobile body kit!

Totally agree. The couple of times I've been to the SoCal Vintage, those are my favorites to see up close.

Now thats "patina"

It looked like it was intentional, and then maybe shot with a flat clear. The rockers and nose all looked solid from what I could tell.
