That is not a sound of too tight valve tolerances. Even 0.25 mm doesn’t sound like that. It it is valve lash thing there has to be more like 2-3 mm lash to get that sound.

For a street car just make sure you keep the oil topped off, for more agressive driving you could look at baffling the pan and or a windage tray/oil scraper might help.

Sounds deeper than valve train noise. A stethoscope will help in general location. Typically a rod knock from excessive clearance will not diminish as it gets warm, while a piston slap will as the engine warms and expansion happens. 

Hunt that bugger down.
