Help Identify Block

Only odd thing I see is the short dipstick nub- the E21 was a 1- piece metal pipe.

ALL the other details look E21ish, from the temp sender on the alternator bracket

to the lump in the sump...

Can I use that sump on M10 with 02 oil pickup?

Agreed, as above, 1.8-liter e21 block. What is the block’s casting date?  It would provide a little more specificity. Generally, it’s on the right side of the block, in the vicinity of the first two freeze plugs. More detail here:

nope, not on a 2002, no matter how many times you ask!

 

And I THINK the 2002 pickup interferes with it, but hell, it's been 

25 years since I tried.
