FYI, Drew's Turkis coupe died on the side of the road today.  Electrical gremlins.  Had it flat-bedded to the HHI BMW dealer, in case they have a tech who has ever seen a carb (and in his case, 3 sidedrafts).

Great meeting you as well, Don. Your car looks great!  I'm gonna try to make the evening event tomorrow at Tanger Outlets (which is next to HH BMW).

 

You guys couldn't figure out the coupe's issue?

 

HH BMW has one tech who at least knows his way around Motronic 1.0. And the service manager is very well-seasoned.

The roadside brain trust (?) was stumped by weird symptoms -- random wipers, no solenoid click, no response to jumping, etc.  Turns out the Optima battery was defective and fried itself.  Wound up flatbedding it to a local old school M-B tech and a quick diagnosis.  New battery (non-AGM) and Drew is good as new.

Thanks!!  Will see you in the AM.  Was a lot of fun and getting the debrief at the brewery was fantastic.  This was my first judged show and it was interesting to find out what they look for and how to improve things.  Amazing folks including finally getting to meet @Mike Self  @HBChris @adawil2002 @Stevenola
