Score! New tag.

A friend who had this tag sold his car last year, it was my first choice when I acquired my car years ago.  I jumped on it upon renewal.  I guess I’m a literal tag guy :) - notice my 356 tag.
Anyone else with this in other states?

Does GA have antique/historic tags?   No VA safety inspection, no emissions inspection, one-time registration fee?.   I have these on my (3) older Bimmers.

We do, it’s an ugly tag with pic of a Model T on it and can’t be customized.  With my tag, no inspection, emissions and $20 a year.

We also can run Year of Manufacture plates up through 1989. I prefer these to the new non embossed plates.

Here are a couple of mine.

I have the YOM plates on my 2002’s.  Believe Virginia stopped using them in 73 or 74...not sure when.

I did that on my ‘65 Mustang.  I don’t like the look of the 1972 tag as it’s a ‘71 tag with a ‘72 sticker on it.

I agree. My 911 needed an ‘82 plate and the regular plates of that era are not amazing. I stumbled across the bicentennial plate I have on there now and I Love that one.

'73 was the last year for embossed tags (for the year) in VA.  Then they went with stickers, so I can't have YOM plates on the tii.

My 02s are still daily drivers so have regular plates.  I've had 2002MS for many years on my '69; the '73 had E-114 for a number of years until I found out from reading Jackie's book they were Type 114s, so changed the plate to TP 114.  In the year 2002--but just for that year--I had AN 02402.  And, following BMW's advertising, my '92 E30 318is has A 9102.

I collect old Florida license plates, and some years ago I found a 1948 plate from Escambia county (Pensacola).  Plate #: 9-2002.

Mike, we are pretty lucky here in GA.  No front license plates and if you want to run a Year of Manufacture plate, there are no extra fees or restrictions.

The vehicle is registered to a conventional plate and the YOM plate.

And Tom, nice new GA plate!  It certainly fits in well with your others.
