Installed the carpeting in Frank along with the new door cards. Here’s the inside as of tonight. Pardon the dark photo, I keep it old school over here, garage with no electricity and a head lamp. Just like the pros!! IMG_1975.thumb.jpeg.a15d41012cabdedc79ab7282341e9eaa.jpeg

Past weekend removed steering box from the car because the seal by worm gear was leaking. My main concern with disassembly was removing the Pitman arm but that worked very well after soaking the joint in PB Blaster for couple of day using little heat and impact gun.

Not that difficult. I used breaker bar and 18mm socket. turn them 1/4 turn then switched to 3/8 ratchet.

Today I received my third 2002 (my very first car was car was a '74 Tii in 1990), which was shipped to me from a seller in Georgia.

I slapped a plate on her, drove her into her storage bay, put a few DampRid in the trunk, engine bay, and inside her.

Next step - a thorough cleaning, then an inventory of things to start repairing.  Straight out of the gate she needs a new Weber 38 DGMS (existing throttle shafts are worn).  I'm gonna swap out the disti for a 123 bluetooth one, a new blue coil, plugs and wires.

Already on order are Hella 500s with mounting brackets care of Pierre and LED taillight inserts from Classic Auto LEDs; I am researching the best 3rd brake light option.

Congrats on the new 02!

Don't see many 02's with window tint. In the south the UV tears up the world. When the Blue Bomb and the Turd get on the road tint may be a consideration.

Good luck with her!

Thank you very much!  I am so excited to have a 2002 in my life again!

The tint definitely looks good on her… IMHO.

The little plastic bushings are what typically wears.  They're replaceable and inexpensive.  There are also ball bearing replacements available.

Thanks for the suggestion - I wasn't aware that was an option, which I shall explore.
