S14 going in

Thanks all. This has been a dream of mine since I was 16. The goal is to keep the car looking as stock as possible including the patina (which I'm sure you can all tell from the photos). Mechanically the car is set up well for the increased power. The car has IE's Wilwood kit, and rear disks all running on a 320i single line master. Sway bars and H&R/Bilsteins with fixed camber plates for just a hint of added negative camber. Front subframe has been reinforced including strut braces front and rear.

I'm going to have Patrick build me a 2.5" stainless exhaust out the stock exit (not a center exit). A discerning eye will probably be able to tell that something is different. I also need to give a shout out to Patrick for his beautiful fab work on the expanded M10 oil pan.

Last night Patrick and I were able to fire up the S14 for the first time. Beautiful feeling. We're getting down to the final list of items to hit.

Fabricating the 2'5" exhaust

Fabricating a catch canister for the breather

Fabricating a new strut brace which doesn't interfere with the throttle linkage

A few other miscellaneous bits

Looking good. I'll be stopping by Patrick's tomorrow and look forward to seeing progress since I was there last.

I bet bet you can't wait to get it out on the road. It wasn't easy being patient while Patrick was hard at work on my EFI conversion.
