NEW Distributorless Ignition System test time

BTW I am running 2  45 DHLA Dellortos, 292 Cam , higher compression pistons & an IE Stepped header .

I was running a Tii disi with Pertronix , then a Compu Tronix module, a giant Crane Fireball Hi6S  ignition box, Crane Fireball coil & a Tach adapter, & I was happy with the performance, this feels better without a million wires & the giant Ign box. Time will tell on reliability etc.

He has tried the programmable one but as not everyone can be guaranteed to know how to do it correctly & use a dyno etc they decided to have it pre programmed , they will do a custom curve per your engine parameters & he can handle boost as he has already asked the question regarding  that. I went with the Tii curve & my car is vastly improved one noticeable change is no more sneezing on deceleration & a smooth acceleration too.

He has asked for another volunteer to test a 2nd unit , a daily driver under all conditions & a hands on guy to be able to handle a situation in the field IF there is a problem being able to switch back to previous ign on the road . Let me know if you are interested & we can pick one of you who are interested. My drive to work from stone cold yesterday was flawless , I'll be doing some freeway & hard acceleration tests this weekend.

I'll be posting up a video so you all can see/hear how this unit performs.

I'm in.

The dizzy in my '75 is worn out and I've been wondering what I'd replace it with.

I drive almost 50 miles a day thru twisties and highway and stop and go traffic... I've got it all.

Send me a PM. :)

Hmmmm ..... sure sounds interesting.  Come spring, I should be up and running.  If the developer wants to find someone with tech. skills who can work on developing a tunable version at that time, I'm his huckleberry.

I will be watching this thread closely.

The plan is in motion... Lew and I are deciding which advance curve to load into the unit.  Steve's side drafted car is already running the Tii curve from a Bosch 002, but that reeeeally isn't designed for a basically-stock, single downdraft, '75 daily driver...

I'm leaning towards the curve from a Bosch 0 231 180 005 (and 008) but there is no vacuum advance, so it will be curious to see how much additional static advance will be necessary for best results.

Thoughts?
