  1. I wanted to use them on stock '67 car - only mod being this and a little bit lower to the ground. Probably never see another set again...
  2. Hi All, Got these for sale as I don't think I'll ever get around to using them. Happy to ship to the USA http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190500550147&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT
  3. Ground Control coilovers on the front and Eibach spring/ Koni shock on the rear.
  4. Thanks all! I did use the front spacers, like you mentioned there was a little bit of room but it was close so I stuck to the tried and tested route. I went 195/45 but 195/45 options here are limited so Im not a huge fan of the tyres on them at the moment. I might pull the Yokohamas off the Alpinas and put them on. Its Schwarz Black. The processing was done in Lightroom - the photographer is very good with his post shot processing in this. I love the vignette and effects he was able to get. Right place at the right time! Also try the usual places, craigslist, vwvortex, ebay Thanks Harry! Got to represent the Schwarz brotherhood!
  5. Its good to see Ray's enjoying it too and the work you put in is being enjoyed by someone. I know what you mean though with the attention - nothing like a 'thumbs up' at the lights! Russ - will pass on to Bill, I know he appreciated all your support. I'm sure he'll fill you in on the final chapter.
  6. Some might remember these rims from cj or Ray, but they are now in Oz so I took the opportunity to do a couple of shots with a mate. Unfortunately im having some LCD monitor issues at the moment so havent managed to process any of my shots, but he processed a few of his - Enjoy! New set is here now and waiting for apparently 'rare' sized tyres so will do 'take 2' soon!
  7. Beautiful looking car that - good luck with the search.
  8. Its a VF 770 - the rounder style. The VG was the more square style. The 770 got a couple of the 'luxury' options like steering wheel, buffao leather and got the 318ci 'Fireball' V8. This particular example was a barn find in SA, unregistered since 83 and structurally rust free. Im going for an original resto with some widened AP5 steelies with hubcap and trim rings. Bill was unsure to start with but hes come around to it. Still driving blacky and about to put a new set of wheels on. I do like the gold though... Hows yours going? I seem to recall your son claiming it!!?
  9. Awesome. What gearbox, diff and drive shafts are you using?
  10. Going well Richard - a 69 Valiant of all things is taking up some man hours at the moment! Any plans to head to Melb soon? You must come down and see Shaun's new bub, Seth.
  11. Hi Richard, Did you get away relatively unscathed from the floods? I seem to recall you were on a hill... I did shoot you off a msg but it may have been caught up as i think a few people were doing the same thing! Tom
  12. Haha, yeh - i get around, although not as much these days! Yeh go the email in the profile. Which is the vehicle you've looked at? - shoot me the link in the email if its online if you want.
  13. Have you driven both tii and carb'd 02's before? What will you be using the car for? Weekend driver, daily, track? The tii is rarer and there are far fewer around - If all you want to do is moodify the car, you'll probably get sick of the limiting kugelfischer and end up ripping it out anyway. Start with a carb'd car and then you wont have to worry about wrecking possibly a nice original tii (my opinion)
  14. Hi What?, Where in Melbourne are you based? Theres a group of us in Melbourne and im sure between us we can put you onto anyone or any part you'll need. Shoot me off an email if you'd like. I also can assist with someone to do an inspection (Eastern suburbs), however he is quite busy, but hes the only one I trust with my car if I don't do it. Cheers, Tom
  15. Depends what you're into mate... Stock? tii? original turbo? resto-mod? aftermarket turbo? S14 conversion? M20 conversion? roundie? squarie? widebody?... for example...
  16. Looks good! Post it up in The Stance Thread - not many (any?) 16" BBS RS's / copies on 02s.
  17. cj made this pictured set now on my car in gold with full height caps. They do look stunning up close. Next set is going to be similar spec but silver centre and half height caps. Pretty 'vanilla' in terms of what can be done but it should look nice on the 02. Also, Justin, they look like 15" basketweaves?? albeit VERY nice ones!
  18. There was a set of those Gottis in 15" for sale on a VW forum down here, fully restored, but they were 15x8 all round! Super nice wheels though. The next set will have a silver centre and I'll run a half height cap. Can't wait!
  19. They look like e21 steelies, so not much.
  20. Been a little while but thought I'd throw this up. No go fast bits added, just a bit of fun attending some of the 02 drives and general tinkering. Put it up on the hoist and cornerweighted it and added the BBS RS wheels. New set in the works! It was sitting about 1cm higher on one side so I removed a spring pad and that helped a lot with the balance (left to right - about 2%) and height. Just a snap shot for anyone interested: Without driver = 1000kg exactly with a full tank of fuel (1071kg with me) Including me in the drivers (RHD) seat, weight distribution was 55% front, 45% rear. Being a right hand drive car, weight was more on the right hand side 47.3% - 52.7%, particularly the right hand front (whoda thunk it)
  21. Nice Ray! I've got a similar spring pad issue (both still in) but im pretty set on going lower rather than raising the front. The RM's look great - you've done an amazing job with them and I can't wait to see them at 8". Not to thread hijack: I just got the tyres mounted on the RS's today and they are now on the car. Not sure if its worth posting pics until I do a full shoot (or wait for the silver centre set to be made..) or anything but im stoked I have NO rubbing (with 2 people in the car, and a boot full of Alpina's and tyres on them). Awesome!
  22. like an s14 head? Plenty of people use an m10 head with an s14 block, why not the other way round? Certainly a lot cheaper than the complete engine. This Ford idea has been out there for years - has anyone ever actually done anything with it? Theres a guy in Oz whos done that (I think he goes by AlanM on this board) - Really well put together car. IIRC he did it so he could stay in the same racing class (required the stock block)
