  1. Looks like you have an early (pre 71) front bumper bar (I love these because you get the small over riders and no rubbing strips on the bar itself - basically, a cleaner look). Good luck with the car!
  2. Shocks? Springs? Wheel size? offset? tyre size? camber?
  3. Hot wheels but holy moly expensive!!! I'd love them though
  4. Looks good! Maybe a spacer at the front? (I know you're always fine tuning with these things so you're probably well on your way to doing this!)
  5. Curious about the white squarie in pic #1... early rear bar and all red tail lights. It seems i've found my car, in white!
  6. It was running a coilover front and stiffer rear (in my sig pic). I ran the Alpinas with stock suspension though for a period too.
  7. Thanks heist - saw your build thread on SW the other day too. Keen to see how you go with the VW lips! Been following your build on 02Faq for a while
  8. Short basic answer: They will fit with low profile tyres (195/45's or 195/50's) and if you roll the lips. I eventually got my Alpina 15x6 / 15x7's +12 to fit with no rubbing. If you love the wheels you can make them fit!
  9. Do you do RHD sets too? Looking at 4 sets for a couple of people and may look to see if any more in the club want a set. Tom
  10. Thanks Ray! Just to clarify for everyone, i was 15 when I bought the car. Im now at the tender old age of 23. Front +25 wheel with a 3mm spacer to clear the coilover collar. Rear is +13
  11. 8 years on almost to the day of buying this car - I was definitely a baby when the car was bought Ray! Still much to learn "What I love about both BMW 2002′s and Stanceworks is the communities surrounding them – that’s what does it for me. You can have all the rare and expensive parts in the world but if there is no community and atmosphere, it means nothing" - let this sink in for a bit. Support eachothers love for these great cars guys!
  12. This thread delivers. hahaha Can't wait to see the final video, Tom! BTW, did you get my email about the turn signals from Kris? I did! Thanks very much for that Ray - I just can't get onto Marc about them now...
  13. Onto the next set hey Ray Someones going to get a good buy with these.
  14. Thanks guys - Another friend and fellow 02er was supposed to be in the shoot for a double-2002 piece but unfortunately on the day of the shoot there was some bad luck and it wasn't to be. Looking forward to seeing your build kyalami! I'm running a 7" front, 8" rear btw but you were on the right track. Also still trying to track down Mark or Marc who gave me the Italian turn signal. If anyone knows him - I'd love to get in touch!
  15. Keep us updated as you go - Was orange the original colour it came from BM?
  16. Just wanted to bump this up in hope of making contact again.
  17. Wow! What a fantastic find - it looks to be in excellent condition for its age and even has the VERY early embossed front belt line trim piece (very rare and NLA if i recall correctly) so take care of it but most of all, drive it! (once you replace all the rubber hoses and brakes! ) Good luck with it all - can't wait to see your progress (closet early 1600 fan) Tom
  18. Still lookin' sexy! Alex's slammed Agave beast in the background riding on the 6.5" RS's and 8" rears too - one hell of a hot vehicle!
  19. Looking forward to your next update Kris! On the gearbox pic - is that a turbo e9 project or something of the like in the background RHS?
  20. Nice work - they look fantastic! Have you done a little bit of work to the lips to help with fitment?
  21. Hi All, For sale I have my turbo and turbo manifold as a package deal. Lots of research went into these buys - save yourself the headaches and some money. Turbo: Brand new never used Garrett GT2860RS "Disco Potato" with .60 housing. Internally gated - turbo is spot on for the the M10 in all forms 1.8L up to a 2.2L stroker. Will spool up nice and early! Comes with the un-used gaskets from the factory too. Retails for $1495AUD Manifold: tubular manifold made by 'good & tight' in stainless steele. If you don't know him, do a google search. Quality manifold hand made in the US, not one of those average Chinese ones off ebay. T3 flange. I will also supply a T28 flange which is what I was going to use. Together: $1500AUD. Happy to ship worldwide. email: tommozza@hotmail.com
