  1. Welcome! Theres a large group of us in Melbourne. Shoot me off an email and I'll get you onto the 02 Register list where we do some drives / 02 chat, etc. cmorriso@bigpond.net.au Tom
  2. Now you wont have to worry about someone badging your car...
  3. Mate - great to see you able to work on the car again. Its all downhill from here! Have you set an ETA for getting it done? Shall I organise a cruise to give you something to aim for? ;-) haha
  4. 16x9 wont fit unless you run a large amount of tyre stretch and turbo flares.
  5. Its not open source because it doesnt need to be. Its a completely different animal to MS
  6. nerazzurrri - et28 is the offset. Alpina didnt make 16x9 in a 4x100 PCD wheel. I suspect you have 16x8's, in which case, you are running the same as what Cris has posted up on page one. Nice wheels. Rennesport - I agree they look fantastic, a very cool wheel.
  7. It needs a sticky! Wasn't there a Stance Thread v2 as well haha?
  8. I think Lee on this board still makes them.
  9. Initially it was rubbing up front, luckily it was some previous body damage to the valance that was causing it. Out back, anyone tried rolling the quarter wheel well lips? I think this is all it will take to clear it. would 16x7 esm's be too big? or would they look ridiculous? You'll need them in et28 (like 16" Alpinas) to fit...
  10. Entry level: Megasquirt The best (and most expensive): Motec and Autronic (and Vipec is a good option too) If you just want to run a rover motor, then Megasquirt or something similar will be right up your alley. You don't need Motec or Autronic unless you're going racing or simply want more tuneability. Link also offer a good product from all I've read.
  11. Damn thats a shame. At least we saw the "S2002" (Honda S2000 motor car) to the end...
  12. Replied. Replied - Thanks Michael. And to the other interested people in this thread. Sorry, I'm after all the components, and a big lol to Jerry's last post.
  13. Oh yeh I know I'd have to pull and cut them, I was more worried about the back space, clearing the Massive brakes, etc. Not sure whether I want to commit 2.5k to a set of wheels I dont even know will fit! Another reason why I haven't committed to the HTN's either... Tough decisions. The Alpinas don't look too bad though, so they may stay for a while :-) I've got the R200 HLSD from an S15 to go in so diff strength wont be an issue. Just need to get it in there....
  14. mmm, RS's... i like What specs are they and what size tyre are you going to run? I've been trying to figure out if I can stuff a 15x8 w/2" lip under the rear guards....
  15. Welcome! Oem Parts - Ashley Sprague at Mornington BMW Used parts - email me and I'll put you onto someone Aftermarket parts - Whiteline do sway bars, King Springs do springs but thats about it in Oz. US retailers have lots.... Replace steering wheel - momo or nardi both have period correct wheels Replace wheels - Depends on the size your after - BBS, Alpina look good. Springs - Couple this upgrade with a new set of Bilsteins or Koni shocks. Ireland Engineering have springs and shocks. Wathc the FS forum here.
  16. Tom - if you make it to Melbourne give us a bell and we'll hit up the spurs for a drive with the 02ers down here. Brake issue has been put on the back burner while the car sits. Glad to hear you've made some movement on your car. Kris - with this turbo, it should boost nice and early in the rev range but for that i've sacrificed a bit up top. 200kw (270hp) is perfectly attainable. Having said that, we'll just see where it goes and keep winding it up until it gets there. There is a bigger .86 housing available for the GT2860RS (I'll run the .64) so if it runs out of puff that is always another option without changing too much. Are you still going to go coilovers Kris?
  17. Unfortunately (fortunately?) life is busy and the 02 has been somewhat on the back burner, but my aim is to be turbo'd and ready to run by my birthday this year (September), whether that be with the built motor or the stocker. Parts aquisition continues though: Forged pistons, S14 Rods w/ ARP bolts, 2.3L S14 crank and some other bits. Asleep, poking out an Alpina for proof its her!
  18. I agree with jrhone, except 16x7 and 16x8. The ones pictured don't have the 'disc' centre caps, unlike Cris'
  19. +1 Im actually interested in the wheels though. What were they originally?
  20. That was me. Did this quite some time ago now, and its held up. I didn't clear coat either. Its just stained glass paint - mask your reverse lights and away you go.
