  2. I learned to drive a stick shift around 13yo. Rambler American three on the tree. Figure eight course in a field, you went around a big maple tree and a couch at the other end. Don't know what was better ? Driving or having the biggest crush on the girl that was riding along with us.
  3. Calipers rebuilt and new rear brake lines, interior all back tegether. Installed my door cards on the Malaga 71. Purchased new door cards for the 73 just waiting on the infamous door liners. PO version of door liners. ?
  4. Just need a cold start relay, Thank You for all the reply's jim
  5. Not a 2002 but mine was hooked on cars at a early age.
  6. It's a short line so easy to DIY n replace. Autozone and others will loan out a brake bending and flare kit for free. Would take old line with me to match the fittings and the flare. $20. for a wheel cylinder another $15. for a line and two fittings.
  7. I think if you can cancel the order through PayPal I would be okay with that. Will still lose some money but oh well. Were looking at another month or more just in shipping. Not optimistic.
  8. Yes, Speedhut gauges were very complete and very nice quality. Not cheap but would buy again for sure. You can customize the faces however you want. I did the faces and needles as close to factory as I could.
  9. Mahle OC84. It was either Bluntech or Ireland. I'll have to look at my receipts. According to the InterWeb their more crush proof when engine oil is cold. So far so good. Not that I've ever had any problem with that.
  10. I went the oil filter mount that many do. sandblasted the part and drilled n tapped.
  11. I just used an adaptor so both work. I have Speedhut gauges.
  12. I remember the shag carpet in the trunk.
  13. We replaced the old fuel line with a new OEM plastic one on the 71 In the name of science we set fire to the old one. It did collapse onto its self,,, mostly. The bubble is from blowing air after the fire went out. If I had a pretty old one would replace with new or go under the car.
  14. I've seen what it takes to make quality cf molds. You'r killin it, truly well done. can't wait to see more.
  15. When I brought mine across the border Customs agent asked is that a Fiat ? Ah No,
  16. Were debating if we should keep this fine audio feature on the 71. Quite unique and very rare. IMG_4352.MOV
  17. We finished brakes, wheel bearings, fuel lines ,battery cable on the 71.

  20. After a few days of figuring out what we have. We started working on our new to us 71 Malaga. Car is in great shape, does have some rust that we will repair. Started replacing front wheel bearings and all the brakes. Lots of little stuff, exhaust hangers, rubber fuel inlet and newer door cards for starters. Anti theft device ? Worst of the rust, both sides will get repaired A older fuel line repair ? Correct line to be ordered Will plan to start a build thread soon.
  21. I get my fair share of thumbs up and people yelling "nice car". Woman all think its such a cute little car. I think being Orange has as much to do with it as anything. Maybe a quarter of the people know what it is at most.
  22. I owned a 72 Monte Carlo, there are no great memories. ?
