  1. I would like to see the Hagerty agreed upon value of the Son of Cobra carbon fiber 1600...
  2. Terrible news. He was always helpful, curious, engaged. A true enthusiast who will be missed.
  3. @AceAndrew That looks fantastic. Will you have visible seams on the dash using this method?
  4. Please someone try and get a quote from a car transport company. I have doubts you could get someone to take the job. I got a quote for transporting a car from Alberta, Canada that was over $2000 (open trailer) and this is twice as far.
  5. I messaged with the guy on FB. Seemed like a nice guy. 56 hour road trip from Los Angeles. One way.
  6. @Autostrada We have a saying we use with our kids-- don't yuck someone else's yum.
  7. Apparently North Hollywood Speedo had a management change a few years ago so some of these 'vintage' experiences might not be as relevant. My own negative experience was unfortunately not long ago. I tried Seattle Speedo for another job and they also kept my gauges for 7-8 months with really terrible communication. The gauges came back looking great-- hopefully they work correctly. A fascia they painted for me ($250) was very sub-par, so much so that I will be stripping it and starting over. Palo Alto was next one my list. @AceAndrew thanks for the head's up on Paul's Speedometer. Nice to have another local place to try. My guess is these places doing bench work are slammed with business and some are not coping with it well.
  8. I had North Hollywood Speedo repair an old tach for me last year. They kept it over 6 months and it didn’t work correctly when they sent it to my shop. Had to uninstall it, ship it back, and wait again. Communication was poor along the way. Michael
  9. Thanks Esty but LSBs are too new and have smaller seat bolsters. I'm trying to match one I already have.
  10. Looking for near perfect shift surround, ashtray surround, and fog light buttons with the silver ring around the trim. For '71-'73 cars. Thanks, Michael
  11. A little fading or discoloration is OK but not rips/holes/tears. Something in California preferred. Thanks, Michael
  12. I'm looking for a late 70s Recaro Idealseat LS like the one pictured. Big side bolsters, tall seat bolsters. Condition of upholstery doesn't matter but cushions and frames have to be good. A single passenger seat in my neighborhood would be preferred but other combinations considered. Thanks, Michael
  13. My '67 1600 had one-- though I don't have the original window sticker so no way to tell if it was standard or an option. My '68 1600Ti also has one.
  14. John I’ll take the one on the left. Michael
  15. These look like WEGU mudflaps. A German company, popular with VWs but also made aftermarket parts for BMW and others. Weather these particular ones are correct for an 02 I don't know. https://www.classiccult.com/bmw-1502-2002-wegu-mudflaps-nos-white-4.html
  16. It says you cannot receive messages. Please PM me.
  17. New shoes in preparation for driving up to Brisbane.
