    Ignition switch replacement

Thanks for doing this. Removing the shear bolts was a breeze with the left handed drill bits. Hardest part was removing the c clip. To put it back on, I used an inch long PVC pipe between nut and clip to push against spring. Cheers, JC

  9. Mike, Any thoughts on the assembly that the lock cylinder slides into - specifically the loose piece (green arrow points to) and spring? I didn’t find anything similar to it on the faqs. Would a cylinder from a 1600 or early 2002 work? Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Thanks Simeon. I’ll try it this weekend. I’m hoping I can keep the cylinder. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Hello, I got this project that PO (salvage yard) was using a screw driver to turn engine on. I found an ignition cylinder with key in console but PO not sure if it belongs to car. I tried starting car with screw driver but could not get past dash “L” light. Looking inside the hole, there’s a loose metal piece (green arrow) and spring to the left. Does this look right? And does ignition cylinder pictured belong to this car? Key slides in cylinder but can’t turn (is there a pin locking the cylinder?). I’ve had no luck starting car with screwdriver and afraid I’ll strip hole. Thanks. JC Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
