  1. Of course it's moving !! Jake and Tim push it around the shop all the time
  2. They don't come any more helpful than Ray
  3. I had a PPI done on a car by Jack Fahuna a couple of years ago. Jack will certainly give it to you straight. He won't give you a value estimate but you will know the state of the car. I wouldn't hesitate to use Jack again.
  4. 1975 is getting M42 swap and was an automatic need surround for manual. Looking for surround in good to very good condition. Already have a line on one that is fair to poor condition. Thanks for any help.
  5. The car is being built by Jake of Classicdaily out of Michigan. When done the car will live in SoCal. My idea for the car was a nice "sleeper" that is a ton of fun to drive. While having input on the direction of the car the VAST majority of ideas came from Jake. I have learned a ton during the build process even though I'm several states away. The build thread on FAQ, while a bit behind, is here
  6. My build is getting so so close to being done. The pic is the what the engine bay looks like at the moment. We are going with brace in the link below. I haven't seen a pic with it installed yet but I'm told it does indeed fit. Hope this give you a point of reference. I did contact Mason engineering as they are right in my back yard. They wanted $1100 to make me a brace. Told them I'd call them back Strut Brace: https://www.wallothnesch.com/domstrebe-vorne-aluminium-poliert-1502-2002-tii-turbo-80-00-00.html
  7. If you check I think the intake and oil pan on the e36 needs to be swapped to the e30 versions.
  8. There are probably many products that work well and will get the job done. I was mainly a Meguirs guy but transitioned to Adam's Polishes. Years ago I got some free samples and they seemed to work well. Besides working well most of the products smell good. One of the newer products is a wheel cleaner. This stuff works great. Spray it on a dry rim, use a brush to get it all over and let it do it's job. After a minute or two the product will start to turn purple. After that simply spray down with a hose. This product isn't going to do miracles on bad rims but will quickly keep nice rims nice. If my cars are not too too dirty I'll use a waterless wash product. Sort of a funny name as you still use water. Two buckets one with waterless wash added and a rinse bucket. Using a waffle towel wipe in one direction. Refold the towel and used till all quarters are dirty. Throw it in the rinse bucket and reload in the waterless bucket. Repeat till the car is clean. I've found it works well as long as the car isn't too too dirty. I used a form gun on a dirty car. Once the car is all foamed up I again use two buckets one shampoo and one rinse. Once clean a quick final rinse with the hose and then use a master blaster to blow dry the car. Before you laugh at blow drying the car try it first You can get all the water out of the cracks and not have drips all over the place. I wouldn't use this technique on a car with bad paint. The master blaster could blow off loose paint if you are not careful. Oh don't let loose of the hose, at me how I know hehe That is what I've been doing and I'm happy with the results. I'm sure others have their favorite products and techniques.
  9. Ray, Doesn't that connect to the main light switch in the kitchen you're working on ?

    New HVAC

Did you install your Hurricane yet ? If so how did you install yours ? Did you have to do similar fabrication ? What vents did you end up using and where did you place them ? Love to hear more details of your build.
  11. This link will get you started http://www.classicdaily.net/product/2002-m42-mounts/ I'd suggest just sending jake an email and asking jake@classicdaily.net
  12. Doug asked if I happened to have a picture of his car. I just happen to have one.
  13. Since I still don't have a car of my own just yet. I participated in the drive by hanging out at the Box Canyon junction to take some pics as the guys came by. I hung out a couple of hours talking cars and such with Original Owner. When the group did show up they were gone in a FLASH !! Turns out that half the guys got lost and took the short way to lunch, guess they were hungry Anyways here are a few pics that I liked
  14. I think I'm going to start with the JL and if that isn't enough then swap it out for an 8". Gotta start somewhere
  15. Nice to hear the good report. Jason is working on kicks and sub for me. Hopefully I'll be installing in the next month or so.
