  1. PM sent... Exhaust manifold cover & Heater control faces
  2. This reminds me of the issue that everyone seems to have with the W spring for the brake shoes. I am a novice when it comes to most repairs on my car but I had "ZERO" problems removing and installing that spring when I replaced my shoes. Lucky? maybe.
  3. Looking for a good working mechanical fuel pump for my 73 to use as a spare. PM if you have one to sell.
  4. I think I'm going to do this and combine Genuine & URO. The only bad part of my Genuine seals is the vertical piece on the B-Pillar.
  5. Mike, Yes, I will be joining the caravan again this year
  6. Jim, I was not aware of directional tire phrase. I will look into that. I will also check the tightness of the bearings.
  7. I should have mentioned, front wheel bearings were changed about 1.5 months ago. I didn't feel any ill effect after changing the bearings only after rotating the tires. The pads were changed about 2 years ago. I did not do the rotors at that time though. I wonder if I lost a wheel weight... Maybe I'll change the tires back to see what happens.
  8. As I prepare the car for Mid-America in a month or so, I noticed that my front tires appear to be wearing uneven towards the inside of the tire. I decided to rotate the tires front to back diagonally. These tires only have about 30K miles on them mind you. They are the 13 inch Kumho Solus TA11 (Terrible in the rain). Anyways, now the steering wheel appears to shimmy more than I remember before rotating the tires, Not terrible but enough to notice. Maybe its just a coincidence and something else just happen to change at this exact time but I have not been able to pin point it yet. I know the uneven wear of the tires means something, alignment? tire pressure? not sure. I have checked all of the suspension nuts/bolts for tightness, bushings look fine although I'm not sure when they were last changed. Looking for suggestions or things to check. THX
  9. Honestly it doesn't sound that loud to me. I would like to hear it after the choke is off. If you're comparing it to your new car you will be disappointed.

    SOLD

I've heard the 245 is the ideal 5 speed for the 2002 but does this 240 unit fit without modification to the trans tunnel?
  11. Thanks Mike... Trying to get these little things done before Mid-America. Looking forward to the caravan again this year.
  12. I'm getting ready to replace the supply and return hoses to the heater core. All other engine bay hoses were done a year ago. Will the car pee coolant all over the place if I don't drain the coolant first? I'm not sure why I flushed the coolant a few weeks ago and not wait to do the hoses also. Oh well... coolant is cheap. I'm also concerned a little because the new hoses look a bit smaller than the old ones. hopefully this is because the older ones are old and somewhat swollen. Also, hope I don't break the old fragile heater valve support bracket while trying to push on the new hose. Any tips to remove and/or install the new hoses?I really don't want to remove the heater completely.
  13. It just goes to show that some things are worth what one person is willing to pay for them and not necessarily what the experts say they're worth.
  14. That's too bad. Their shipping wasn't crazy like some I buy from. You know who you are.
  15. The dumbest thing Ive done to my car to date (or didn't do) is not have this spoiler removed 5 years ago when a shop quoted me $300 to fill the holes and respray the trunk. I absolutely hate this thing. I recently had two shops quote me $1200 & $1325 to do the same. Dumb, dumb, dumb.
  16. Kutzoh, Is your car lowered at all? What size wheels are those?
  17. Is it safe to assume that shipping isn't included in the price
  18. Yeah... I just need to get under there a tear into it. I just figured since the floor heat works so well that the defroster would put off some heat instead of being continuous cool air, but it doesn't even blow warm air.
  19. I have 2 levers on the right side of the dash and 2 on the left side. One on the right is for heat the other is for the fan. One on the left controls the flaps for the footwells the other one I think is for the flaps for the defroster but that one doesn't work.
