  5. Thanks for letting me know
  6. I forgot to mention I also have the seals. Just so you know one other person asked about the guides before you but they are not sold yet
  7. Some of this stuff was simply replaced because I was there. Other things came with the car. I have no idea what it’s worth so I’ll make up prices if anyone is interested. If nobody wants any of it no big deal I’ll just throw it in a bin and save it for another seven years. PM if interested. Thx
  8. Same here. Steve called and talked to my builder and then walked me through exactly what I needed to order. Then drop shipped them right to the engine shop.
  9. I edited the post because I realized it was BavarianKlasse who had the issue and from whom I bought the transmission from not 73Tiii. I was talking to the both but decided to go with BavarianKlasse only after he agreed that I would pay after receiving the transmission.
  10. Was this resolved? I bought a transmission from him but because of all of this drama I asked him ship the item first before I paid. He agreed. After I got the item I sent paypal. I know there is no guarantee the thing is good but I knew that going in.
  11. Hey Buckeye... I wish I had the ability to rebuild it myself. Unfortunately that's well above my technical expertise.
  12. Jim, The fine spline is dated 71. The coarse one appears to be 68 or 89
  13. Folks, I have (3) 4 speed trannys that I'm trying make into one non crunchy one. The two in the photo below and the one that's currently in the car. The unit that's currently in the car is a little crunchy when downshifting from third to second and fourth to third unless i'm careful. The two below were sourced here on the forum, problem is they both are unknown condition. One of the units in the photo has coarse spline output shaft the other one has a fine spline shaft. Other than the obvious, what's the difference between the two? Are they from different year cars? Is one considered a better choice than the other. The coarse unit also has a metal output seal cover but the fine spline unit has an aluminum output seal cover. Oh, they both have 4 bolt flanges. All things being equal, which one would you use? Thanks
  14. Looking forward to it. Although, I have a few thing to do to get ready, like new wheel bearings and rubber brake lines. I am nervous though about doing those bearings since I've never done them.
  15. Hi Larry, I still have not made it to Cincy to see your awesome rebuilt tii. Cant wait to see it as were cruising to Mid-America in April. Walter
  16. Thanks Hal... I have placed an order, however, my issue turned out to be the battery but that connector also needs replaced now as I scuffed it up pretty good trying to get the spade out of the connector. plus its almost as old and crusty as I am.
  17. I paid $50 for my set a couple of years ago, and they're in great shape. I guess someone just wanted them gone. I will admit though, I don't use them as much as I thought I would. GLWS.
  18. Thanks Farshid. I will certainly check the coil after work tonight.
  19. Thanks for the offer Hal, I will keep that in mind. So last night while trying to troubleshoot the problem before going to bed, I realized this morning while looking for my keys to head off to work that I left them in the 2002 with the ignition "ON" so now the battery is completely dead. Hopefully its just the battery and nothing else is damaged from leaving the ignition on all night. Of course I cant find the post now but I thought I saw on this forum that someone else had done the same and damaged something. Thoughts?
  20. Thanks Ray. I will read this completely tomorrow and check the charging system.
  21. Could this brown wire be my issue. Everything I've read here talks about the blue wire controlling the L light on the dash.
