  4. How did you guys determine how much material to remove from the bumpers and the shocks for the tuck? I really like the look.
  5. The new stainless braided lines brake lines didn't show up until today, so I didn't get a chance to swap them. However, after taking a closer look at my brake system, I'm presently ordering caliper rebuild kits for all four corners. I'll get into that this weekend. As for the bumpstops, I popped the bottoms open and trimmed a section. What's the point of trimming the bump stop? did you do front and rears?
  6. X2 Get it mechanically sorted first. Get the drivetrain to spec, fix the leaks, fix the rust. Just get comfortable with your car. You have lot's to learn before jumping into an air ride set up. Spend that 2k on getting it back to spec, and have fun!

  10. I did this repair a few months back on my 75. Before I took the old stuff off, I made sure the oil was full and eyeballed it. No its not a technical answer, but as long as you're in the ballpark, you'll be fine. You can always fill then drain and measure the amount that came out.

  14. I'm almost convinced it's the hazard switch. Everything else checks out fine. No wierd wiring or anything like that. I did check the fusebox connections, all was well there. I just wish I could figure out why it all worked after jumping the horn......
  15. The turn signals aren't working in my car. When I turn on the hazards, everything works as it should. When I turn the hazards off, no turn signals. I've checked the relay and signal stalk with known good ones, still nothing. Fuses are all good, and I spent 3 days cleaning grounds and connections. Last night I start to check the other systems that run on that circuit. Back up lights aren't working, no radio installed in the car so I can't check that. I take the steering wheel off to "short" the horn, horn works. At this point I turn the car on, flip the signal stalk and the blinkers are working. I put the car in reverse, back up lights are on. Hazards continue to work during this whole process. I go out this morning to drive to work, turn signals and back up lights are not working. So what happened? Any ideas? I've got a new hazard switch on the way to see if that helps. I read a couple of posts that had similar problems that ended up being fixed by a new hazard switch.
