  1. Yes still works it just wont lock now. Yeah I know probably not the best move...
  2. So after trying another locksmith with no luck I decided to be a bit more drastic...Took the filler apart and cut the lock off.
  3. Just went to a lock smith who has been in business for 30 years and he could not pick the lock! Pretty pissed at myself for losing the key.
  4. Here is a shot of my cap and the key. Not sure which generation it is. Sorry for the lousy photo, it was dark out.
  5. The key ring came apart and the only key to fall off was the gas cap key! 76Mintgrun02 I would really appreciate that. PM sent.
  6. I lost my gas cap key! What to do? Am I screwed or can I get a blank and have a lock smith make a key?
  7. Avoid Bryce Vellor at all costs. Bad news.
  8. Bruce (M-Tuner) is absolutely the real deal. I have been with 70 Deluxe to his house. He is a stand up guy and has nothing to do with Mr. Vellar.
  9. I have Federal 595 in 205/60/13 Not the best in really cold temps. I like them a lot and they are available.
  10. Peter, I still have the Touring. Got it back in 2012 after it being missing for 20 years full story here > http://drive4corners.com/index.php/lost-in-time/
  11. Cool Art. I only slightly remember the malaga car. I remember the crank sunroof and sliding around in the back seat. Those fog brackets are from the Touring sport paket right? I also have a photo of the touring with bulbus turn lights, possibly sport packet lights? Here is a shot of my dad in 71? with one of his army buddys in Munich. Notice the car is already "federalized". Also a shot of the touring with bulbus (sport paket)? turn signals. Also the Izor 2800 just for fun.
  12. Here are a couple shots of my family's first 02. Appears to be a 70 or 71 but has knee trim. Pictures taken in 1974. (I was 2 years old) Was there a transition to knee trim? There are also a lot of cool aftermarket accessories. Any id on the wheels?
  13. This car has been for sale in Colorado for a long time. It was originally listed in Steamboat Springs for $3500. Some one in Colorado Springs appears to just want to flip it. Just fyi. Looks cool tho. I like the gear shifter and roof rack!
  14. The head that was on the car had an 86 casting date. The head that is on there now has a 74 date. So... no dice in that department.
  15. I can remember my dad having the motor rebuilt around 1986. We have had the car since 1977 and it has been in Colorado since 1975. (most likely the first touring imported to the US) But I was a kid then and didn't pay too much attention to the details when the motor was built. He had it done at Bimmer Werks in Boulder, Co...
  16. Yep. On further inspection my block is stamped 76... Still finding all the funky stuff my dad did to the car...
