Here are some necessary items for your car from Current '02 Parts Inventory of #2,300+ Parts.

~ THE RUSTY BANANA IS LAID TO REST : ( ~




Honestly, The Rusty Banana is the first '02 Parts car that I truly hate to see Go. It was supposed to be a 3-4 week Ride this winter which turned into a 5-month dependable "Daily-Driver". Mechanically it is very strong car but has too much rust to deal with. I do Not usually get attached to any car but this particular one was an exception, just because it was so darn dependable!

BUT . . . . the time has come and the Rusty Banana was always destined to donate its Organs so that others may Live!!

This Golf Green car was a wonderful ride that was Picked up in the dead of our very cold 2013 winter and started up every time with a “pump-of-the-pedal” and a “turn-of-the-key”. This Engine runs really great with useful regular maintenance records dating back 25 year (Always Nice)!
Meanwhile every single bushing on this car is SHOT, with the roughest ‘70’s ride that you can imagine : )

The Interior is very promising with clean carpet, Perfect Used door sills, Perfect Center Console, Glovebox, Hood Latch, Climate Control Covers, Black Door Cards (with speaker holes), Door Regulators, Perfect Rear Door Cards, Perfect Armrest/black door pulls, great “period” radio, working Dash switches, Column switches, rubber boots, Steering Column, Ignition Lockset, Matching Door Handles and Trunk lock, Seat mechanics, No-rip Headliner, Rear View Mirror, no-rip Sun Visors, etc., all.

SO . . . . . . . Nice interior AND a Strong Motor, but again Too much rust to salvage.

Just so that it is clear, much of the Trim is sold BUT . . . . . None of the Motor, Mechanics, Drivetrain, is Sold Yet.

Then too, when this New '75 Car is completely parted-out it will be a small swimming pool of '02 Parts!!

The Back Seat & Bench horsehair stuffing is shot but there are zero rips to the vinyl. The Front seats are good for Frames and Parts only. Exterior Grill Set, Lights, Lenses, Belt Trim, Chrome Finishers, Seals, are all promising ’02 PARTS.
The Clutch Pedal Box is rebuilt and has nice firm action plus the 4-speed has a nice grind in 2nd gear . . . . . haha

THIS 2ND GEAR GRIND IS THE ONLY DETRACTION MECHANICALLY ON THE CAR. It Runs Cool and Strong in all weather.

Hood and Doors are clean with only surface rust – letting these go cheap for a reasonable offer. Deck lid is rust free but had dents.



The entire Trunk is extremely rust free including the Shock Towers, Tire Well, etc., if anyone needs a replacement!! Plus the Elephant Skin, Floor Panels, Jack & Wrench are Good –to-Go!

The Gas Tank is clean, Brakes are Great (Calipers and Rotors), CV Half-shafts are Good, Steering Box is Strong and the rugged All-season Tires have tons of tread. Windshield is cracked but all other Glass is clean. The Heater Box is “Perfect Used” and blows nice Hot Air with zero squeals from the Motor/Fan Combo.

I WILL BE TAKING MORE PICTURES THIS UPCOMING WEEK AS THE WEATHER WARMS AND THE "PARTING-OUT" OF THIS PROJECT BEGINS

While we are still swimming in Previous ‘02 Inventory – over #540 items, this Golf Yellow gem breathes new Life into the Parts Pile. Requests are always prioritized in-order received but it is “First-Come” on all Parts.
