Nick, you wished to avoid getting 16 paragraphs of explanation. How about the one liner three posts above yours? My personal favorite so far. It may not agree with you, and manners be damned, but it is . . . short, concise, well constructed, and to the point. lol

and he does have a point, it is a bit shit!

Can we also adress ... photo enhance it so it relates to BMW. I do enjoy gratuitice soft porn ... rarley.

1. The word is "gratuitous." 2. "Rarley" would I photo enhance - but here you go. Happy now?

"Wow, that's like looking up Yasmine Bleeth's skirt!"

Actually, this is an example of the kind of bad advice KC was talking about.

Did BMW actually produce a solid rocket booster or is this just gratuitous advertising for an old model? I sort of remember it from my musclecar days. What is the part number? I can't find it on realoem. Will it work with standard rocker/t shafts? Does CD have a diagram? What kind of "o" rings and is it compatible with a DeltaBMark10Stage2?

Is it still available? Was it ever available? Was it part of the Diana model? Can Blunt get one? Can people in Texas make their own or do they have to wait for Lee? Torque settings? Will it fit with 13" rims?

LOL

What's wrong with that? ;)

So you admit it! When are you planning on marketing this and are you offering an early purchase group discount? Will all the fasteners be at least grade 8 or higher?

But what's with the cougar and was that really mos def and elvis costello?

All,

Thanks for reading my rant and contributing your thoughts. Wether you agree, disagree or are indifferent to what I posted, I feel that I got my message across.

KC

Oh yeah... Otis can you ask you lady friend to move the rocket next time... It's blocking my view....

KC - I'm not sure if she's quite ready to fire off my rocket. But see my other BLUNT thread. We're having some "soft" fun over there.

OC02 - that is some funny stuff. I tip my hat to you. And I have a really, really, really good picture to go along with it - but I'll refrain from posting it, since I'd have to photo enhance her roundels - and she's already enhanced enough.

Very disappointed. More bad advice? You make a statement without any support. Next you are going to tell me to replace my maximum limit 15" wiper blades with 22" - so I can see better? A more believable excuse would be that you did not want to violate any international copyright laws regarding the roundels, or that your launch would have to be postponed due to bad weather, or your shamwow just arrived and you have to take care of the leak in the basement!

P.S.: I have searched the archives, and find no evidence that BMW was involved in a collaborative effort with Estes. Saturn?

Maybe. Real concern is explaining this to the wife or my soon to be ex.

I totally agree with you KC, but we should also consider the flip side of your argument and think about the number of inane and incredibly poor questions posted on this site.

I have been thinking about this for several months, and it seems to me that the FAQ forum has gotten extremely ponderous lately—often by multiple posts (per day) by single individuals asking the most elemental questions (what is this part?, what is the bolt size?, etc. etc.)—almost all of these questions are explicitly answered in any 2002 repair manual (or by diligently using a forum “search”).

So in addition to the caveat about offering expert advice, I would also add the caution of thinking twice when posting a question. I am all for the free flow of information, but to not have any discretion for it’s use, this forum will cease to offer any source of enjoyment or information exchange for anyone.

Bill, I didn't mean you, that word "negative" does not exist in your vocabulary!

Michael, I think this thread may offer insight to the title of F1Reverb's latest post: "Friend or enema."

Good points... I've also recognized that trend. I'm usually cautious with these posts cause it can be confusing for some of the newer members to use the search effectively. Maybe the default search setting should be set to search both thread title and body to alleviate some the redundant questions.

Very disappointed.

Well, I certainly would hate to disappoint, my good man. So I'll simply end my "shit" contributions with one last post, by simply noting what the Board needs, only IMHO, of course: Less wheel-size posts, more Babes Bowling for BMWs.

That is, simply IMHO. No more pics here, I promise.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
