tires and wheels HELP E30 14" BBS on a 76...RUBBING??????

So I threw a set of E30 14x6 BBS wheels on my 76 dropped it down to take a quick spin and the suspension is rubbing the inside of the wheel??? On both wheels!!!! I thought the E30 14" BBS rims were a direct bolt on...is something wrong here? Do I need a spacer or is something out of whack in the suspension area? Damn......

What is your tire size? My '76 with Eibach springs does not rub with basketweaves and 185/60 tires. It did rub with 195/60's.

The E30 BBS is a 14X6.5. If you have the 14X6, I suspect it's not the factory BBS and it may have the wrong offset.

The E30 BBS wheel will not rub. The tire may rub depending on size.

They are factory BBS with the size and offset stamped on each wheel....its rubbing the strut on ONE side of the car...so its probably something other than the wheels.....

They are et 30, 195/60/14 tires....rubbing at the strut on the drivers side ONLY.

You said it was rubbing on both sides in your original post - now it's only the driver's side? Did you read HarryPR in Puerto Rico and Pierre's response above? There's your answer.

Something most likely is bent in the suspension causing it to rub on only one side, but the fix is buying longer wheel studs and wheel spacers.

You might be able to buy smaller tires and fix the problem but I'm not sure.

I went the spacer route cause I didn't want to run smaller tires....

The wheel is rubbing, not just the tire.

That means something is bent and needs to be straightened. Or the other side side needs to be bent the same amount.
