Do I need thin spacers for e30 bottlecaps?

I remember the 73 i parted had thin spacers behind the bottle caps, but i forget how wide the tires were that were on it.

im trying to keep the ronals that are on the 02, and so i was going to swap the ronals onto the e30 and put the bottlecaps on the 02. The caps wear 195/65/14s at the moment,,, do i need spacers, and where do i get some cheap ones?

Maybe, I've had mine on 3 02's, only one did they fit without rubbing the strut. Ireland was my only source for spacers, but I've seen them on flea bay & maybe 02 again has some.

i ordered some generic ones off ebay,, hopefully they'll fit.

I needed them on my '70 with 185/60's on bottlecaps

I ran bottlecaps for years with 195/60-14 with no spacers and no problems. 195/65-14 is not a good fit for 02's in my experience.

My car used to have E30 bottlecaps with 195/60-14 Yokohamas and no spacers. The only interference was the right hand inner sidewall at the tie rod. The raised "rim protector" portion of the tire was worn off.

205- 60-14's (RA 1's) needed 1/4"+ spacers to keep the tires off the

tie rods and struts...
