Independent Throttle Body setup for Tii

Anyone know where I can purchase independent throttle bodies and linkages? I am looking to replicate the Alpina A4 system with half the cost. I was looking at the dbilas website and only see throttle bodies for carbs.

The e30 guys are doing set ups with TB's off of Suzuki GSXR's the one write up I read on e30tech was using the ones off of a 600 but I bet the ones off of an 1100 would be a little bigger.

Cheers

What do you mean? That the bolt pattern is for carb manifold? That is the easiest way. They have also separate tb's per cylinder but you have to make the manifold. I think dbilas has them also but at least KMS has. Or did you expect to find ITB setup that would bolt on to the tii manifold? No way that there would be enough markets that anyone would make that!

I don't know how much you have to pay for A4 but it isn't cheap to make ITB injection using any parts.

Check out these guys. They have FI systems that fit in place of Weber carbs.

This setup will fit onto any Weber DCOE sidedraft manifold. You'd need the standard TISA or equivalent TI-type setup.

Can't tell you if it will come out half the cost of an Alipina, but I've heard tell it's high-quality stuff.

i can get you a brand new engenmann setup specific only for tii's this comes with a sport/race calibrated kugefischer pump , manifolds, tb's and air horns more hp than an A4. price is not cheap about the same or more than a used a4 setup

there is no itb in the market that i know that will work with the tii injection system unless you weld the tii injection nozzle housings on an aftermarket itb.

dbilas makes a racing type itb system which you can use with dbilas' engine management system or any aftermarket system. price is same or cheaper than most itb's in the market. you can also buy the just the itb's and use any brand of bmw m10 dual side draft manifold.

FYI Dbilas throttle bodies are a lot cheaper than TWM, JENVEY, WEBER or VGS.

ball bearing design so longer wearing. one year warranty, TUV certified. Made in Germany.

the standard length (64mm) Dbilas DCOE type itb's 40 or 45 mm are only $305 each compared to TWM 40's or 45's at $361 plus state taxes. US Buyers do not pay sales tax so you save a lot with DBilas itb's. Even complete systems are cheaper than TWM's.

DBilas itb's come in three lengths, 64mm, 80mm and 110mm. Available in 40, 45, 48 and 50 mm. IDA/IDF tb's also available

Talk to JimK... also, see my blog. I am using TWM's

I made it to phase 2 and am testing the 320I intake to compare to the TWM WOT performance. So far the Ford TB is quite a bit more twitchy gettin off idle than the TWMs. A much different fuel map on the low end too. If the weather holds up I should be able to do my WOT runs this weekend.

A radiator shop is a good place to take a leak.

I have no idea what I'm doing but I know I'm really good at it.

well, if you give each cylinder its own throttle body your bound to feed more air into the cylinders than sharing one common plenum.

Hi Chunco

I had EFI a few years ago and liked it a lot. But that was electronic, and not mechanical like what you seem to want. In both cases, it is possible to use those Weber intake manifolds and TWM ITBs. For your application with Kfish injectors, just thread the injector ports.

I was about to reinstall EFI on my 2002 racecar, but as I found a good low mileage S14 for the price of combined injection parts, I decided to go S14.

I understand you want to go mechanical injection, but remember it is perhaps way more dificult to tune than programable injection kits like SDS per exemple. technology hs evolved a lot since the early 70's.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
