Nellie saved from the chopping block

Well, in a surprising stroke of luck for Ol' Nellie, she got saved from chopping block at the very last hour.

 

A new chapter awaits...  as a FAQ member stepped in at the last moment to redeem the shell and restore the car for his daughter. 
I couldn't be happier to think this car will drive on with a new generation.

 The transmission was pulled and is still available along with the seat belts and the front seat frames.  Gas tank went with the  new owner...
