Finishing my Dad's 2002tii-Legacy Project Story

@Aaron R thanks, unfortunately they loosened them all to clean and put them back in the sleeve and coated it as an assembly so when I put them on and repositioned them and extended them a little I realized they didn't take the coating down far enough so now theres a dark band between the sleeve and headers of where the coating stops 😒

That seems like a goof on their part.  Perhaps they'll recoat it for free. 

 

If the problem is on the lower section, you could weld the AFR bung on before sending it back.

@SydneyTii Thanks! The paint on the wheels? It's just what is closest to bmw bright silver that the powder coater had.

Headed over to the Deutsche Marque Concours d'Elegance this past weekend for my first judged event. Definitely will need to finish the interior if I do another judged event since mine got docked a lot of points for the seats being worn and some other little things. Also didn't realize how much they would scrutinize things and got points taken away for dust on the mirror (it's just aged and has spotting that doesn't come off) 😅. Still nice to get the car out of the garage though and take home a 2nd place ribbon so I can't complain.
