From the photos it seems like rear bumper over riders are becoming rare. ??‍♂️

Awesome photos BTW. I skipped Vintage this year so I could go to the PVGP. Unfortunately for me my home AC unit kicked the bucket and depleted my vacation funds. Ugh!

What's the story here?

2002 off the shoulder at Ofest 2018.JPG

On the 2002 only Covered Bridges Tour on Tuesday of O'Fest. The owner of the car was backing up to turn around and his wheel dropped off the road and into the position you see in the photo. The car was pulled out by a John Deere tractor and continued on the tour. Only damage was the driver's ego.

File that photo under: "nobody's perfect."  I famously had an embarrassing moment with my 2002! (In my case, a John Deere tractor was absolutely essential toward extricating my 2002 from a mucky cow pasture!)

Mike Self looks a little perturbed the tractor was taking too long.  I sense an upcoming Roundel article!  If I left home earlier Tuesday I would have gladly been on this drive.

Had a great time in Pittsburgh.  Traveled with Scott Sislane in our respective o2's from Nh.  Long drive but well worth the fun.

Interestingly, it appeared that over 1/3 of the cars had AC

I had a great time. My  Freshly completed restomod 02 made it there and back. After over 1000 miles, only 3 miles from home, I launched the fan belt. The bolt holding the alternator bracket had left the building. The belt followed. I limped to a friend’s driveway, afraid that it was the oil pressure that had gone south. Luckily it was the red light, not the amber one! (Mike P solved that on the phone.) I had a spare belt, tools, and some bolts. Back on the road and home in a few minutes.

Thanks to everyone that was there for the kind remarks about my car, and for the assistance when diagnosing its overheating issue, burning up a coil issue, and whatever else issues. The 02 spirit was alive and well at Ofest and the PVGP. Jim G even got word to me that I had left my Garmin plugged in, merrily draining the battery!

And this website has been a huge help in this long journey to restore this old Mintgrun disaster into my green dream machine.

When is the next get together?
