I saw this ad and thought I would pass it along.  A 1969 BMW 2002 in Colorado over Black interior.  Some pretty serious rusty bits, but dual carbs, Gotti wheels and steering wheel, not running and maybe too far gone to save, but bumpers and center console nearly cover the asking price.

CL listing long gone by the time I saw this. No headrests or side-marker lights/reflectors? If it left the factory that way, and it's a U.S.-spec car, it's certainly a 1968-manufactured 1969 model (i.e., September through December 1968), as the headrest and side-marker requirements were effective January 1, 1969. Given that the 2002 only appeared mid-way through the 1968 model year, that would make this a mighty early 2002, and very similar to the 1968 model!

The other tantalizing tidbit is that Colorado -- I assume this car is Colorado -- was introduced as a 2002ti-only color. The December 1968 global all-models color brochure (essentially the color brochure for the 1969 model year, as shown below) shows precisely this: Colorado only available on 2002ti models, with either a brown cloth-and-vinyl or a black all-vinyl interior. And, of course, an early ti would have neither headrests nor side-markers, as it wouldn't have been U.S. spec. Now I'm not telling you that you just passed up a bona fide ti for $1,000, but there's more questions to be asked and answered here. Color change? Side-markers stripped? Later car? Euro-spec car?

What's going on with the right front grill? All the grilles have been blacked out but it almost looks -- from the single photo in the original post -- to have an emblem. No...I'm not telling you that that's a ti emblem, although it sure does look like it could be. Hey, we all know it's generally on the left grille, except when it appears on the right grille! And, hmmm...Gotti rims and steering wheel. They'd go well with a ti. No?

And you know, Portland isn't that far from Canada. Could a Canadian-imported ti have come across the border?

I recall from the ad he said it had a ti emblem because the previous owner liked the symbol and that it's not a true ti
