other Puerto Rico 2002 Meet 8/22/15

After a few years kind of dormant, we decided to get some local 2002s and their owners together last Saturday. We met at a Krispy Kreme in the town of Dorado, and then took a highway and mountain road drive to Casa Bavaria, a local German restaurant. The restaurant's owner, a German native, was ecstatic upon seeing the 2002s, telling us that he owned one back in the day in his home land.

 

A total of 10 2002s eventually showed up, plus two E24s and a few '02 owners that could not bring their cars. A great time was had by all.

 

Stopped off for the obligatory beach photo on my way.

Yes we do, Marshall! It is finally starting to rain after a long drought which has caused water rationing for many island residents.

Hey Harry, I talked to the Beeker Bros today, and I think they are coming up to fetch the remaining BWA's this weekend, to pack and send. Looks like you guys had great weather, but I know that you are like us and need the rain. Hope everyone is well on the island...
