Does Anyone Know The Whereabouts Of My Old 2002 ?

Unfortunately, no VIN. Just remembered it had European headlights.

Drove it to El Salvador and back twice from California.

Not the best of ideas going through Mexico, even in those days, but we were young and had a great time.

Flying might have been easier though...

Definitely a hotrod...I remember the BF Goodrich TA's, quite the tire to have at the moment, Transam was it,

2002 and Alfa Gta's and the BRE 510's. Great times.

I was sad to see it go, but food and tuition were foremost.

One car had to go.

As seen here?  Rey is on the board here.

Edit:  Flares aren't the same, but close.  Very close.  Still could be the same car with a make-over..?  Worth investigating.

The lic. Plate # is readable. Is it possible to trace the car with it? Might have to use a cop friend or someone in the DMV.

I lived in Marin during the '70s and remember this car! (or its twin)

If you remember the car, that is it! There was not another around, guaranteed.

I lived in Marin, Sausalito on Nevada street, with this car from '73 to '75.

The young man that bought it then for $4,000 was happy as a lark. Me, not really.

The plate was 776BJS, 1970, bought at German Motors on Van Ness in San Francisco.

Tell tale signs are:

Fenders are steel, and there should be signs of the floor, under the driver seat, having been pounded out

as I ran over a dead donkey in Mexico.

Gauge Needles were painted red, had the extra set of gauges on the dash in the usual pod.

MOMO Jackie Stewart steering wheel, BWA wheels. Ansa headers. Open velocity stacks on 45's

Ti pistons, 300 deg cam with larger bearing surfaces, as the head had to be bored out for this installation

4.10 rear end non-locking. Large Blaupunkt speakers on the parcel shelf.

Cassette player screwed to the floor under driver seat.

Thank you all!

Regards, Alberto
