Wideband O2 Sensor Gauge Mount Pic Request

I was looking through the various mounts possible for the wideband gauge I'm about to put in my car and am trying to visualize the various mounts that people have done. If you've got a picture of your setup that you could post that would be much appreciated.

This install has been postponed due to sub-zero weather...  But here it is so far.  (Thanks Andrew)  And I'm probably going to drill the mirror arm with a long 1/8" bit, to pass the wires through.  So you will only see about an inch of wire exiting the back of the mirror housing.

I basically copied what Jim Gerock did. Jim posted a long thread you can find with search. 

 

The gauge is an AEM 30-5130 analog blackface. It looks right at home in the change pocket next to the 42 year old gauges in the cluster. Two pics are attached.

 

I went through a few pods before I found one that worked. It can't be too deep or there's not enough room in the change pocket. I wound up using a very inexpensive pod, purchased off eBay, that was 38mm deep. The link to the eBay auction is here:

The bung should be welded into a place in the downpipe after the two Y sections come together. The documentation says that the bung should be installed such that the oxygen sensor is at a positive angle relative to the horizontal so water doesn't collect in the sensor. There's ample room to do this. Unfortunately, I did it when the 4-speed was in the car, and have since installed a 5-speed. I do not appear to have any photos of the bung and oxygen sensor before I installed the 5-speed. After installation of the 5-speed, the oxygen sensor either barely hits, or barely clears, depending on whether you're a glass half-empty or glass half-full guy :^). A pic is attached.

I have a micro switch in line, for just that reason.  And I did this because I now have three gauges in the console and mirrors are cheap. Dash clusters aren't.  That, and it would look out of place any where else.

 

Cool idea.  Not sure that I want flashing red lights in my rear view though!  My radar detector sometimes freaks me out haha

Thanks HackMechanic that's what I'm looking for. Ideally, if someone were to make a mold that would essentially extend the area around the instrument cluster for the change pocket that would be great. I was thinking of using the below, but it's probably too deep and would require extensive modifying.

I mounted mine in the FASTEN SEAT BELT pod.  I will try to get some pics up later if you would like.

Please do. More options the better. Although, I keep telling myself I'm going to change the 'FASTEN SEAT BELT' sign to read 'LISTEN TO SLAYER'. :)

Man, I think this is sweet.  Please do a write up with the pics once you finish.  I have nowhere near your skills, but love the look for my ride, especially the cutoff switch.

As Rob mentions above, the AEM analog gauge and simple housing (I got both from Summit) looks pretty good in the LH recess.  I can't get my gauge to stay stuck to the velcro but it works well.  This gauge comes with different face plates and you can also change the backlighting color.

My car came with a modified downpipe and plugged 02 sensor bung pointing toward the pass. side. When I had the downpipe ceramic coated, they did not remove the plug so it is in there permanently.  I convinced Bill Riblett to weld in another bung on the same manifold pointing straight up.
