It's something to plug the hole that y'all have looked thru a lot. I've always kept mine where it belongs, in the hole. Hint - It goes under the hood somewhere. The plug is not over an inch long.

Winners get "Atta Boy"s. Incorrect guessers get ????

I would go with the timing hole cover, but I've never seen one in real life!

Another Atta Boy award!

It keeps the water and dropped small screws out. I'd bet the tuners tossed these right away on new cars because it takes a small screwdriver to pull it up to whare you can grab it.

I, too, have never seen one. Is there a current part #?

P/N 23111200477 NLA I've never looked til now.

Don't let me become a judge at an 02 event, I'll be looking for these!

Too cool, Jim. I've never seen one - and thus I wouldn't have ever guessed there was a cover/plug for the timing hole.

Now the white-glove crowd will all be rushing out to get 'em. ;-p
