  1. The tabs are very fragile on these. Most will have some cracks, etc. If you can carefully glue/epoxy your existing setup, this is probably A-OK. I've had to do something similar on my projects in the past. -=Ben
  2. Are you looking for replacement front assemblies, I might be able to help.
  3. That would be perfect, I really only need one rear assembly, but would be interested everything for the right price. Thanks!
  4. WTB: Klippan "Center Loop" style seatbelt parts -- I need one or more rear belt assemblies to complete a set and finish a project. Thanks!
  5. I have two 2.0l M10s in Indianapolis. 1) is from a 76, from a running car that was wrecked. I bought the shell and scavenged the engine and some other parts. I tried to get it running and was only successful on 3 cyl. I didn't try very hard, it had been sitting for a couple years. It should be considered a rebuildable core or used for parts. 2) is a 75, also removed from a running car for a restomod, I bought it and it, installed in a project car and it smoked really badly. I suspect rings are stuck. It ran great, just very smoky and oil fouling plugs 3&4. I pulled off the head and looked around, other than the sooty oily piston tops, nothing seemed odd. Priced to go, let me know if you have interest in one or both.

  7. I have an engine from a 76 2002–it was in a car that suffered accident damage - I got it running before I pulled it. I’m 2 hours south of South Bend.
  8. Hi Kevin, I'm a 68 2002 owner (1661250) and given the significance of 166001 - I would really love to see this engine restored and on display at the BMW CCA Foundation Museum in SC. If you were to consider donating, I believe your gift would receive tax benefit. Understanding that your primary goal is to raise funds for a project car (we've all been there!) I'd imagine that a group of passionate history loving BMW folks would be willing to chip in on this. If one of the great BMW Foundation sponsors (Werkshop, IL/ Classic BMW, TX) could get in on the fun, perhaps they could sponsor the restoration? Imagine how cool it would be for visitors to see this engine on a stand with accompanying press information and hear it run on a test stand!! Please consider this path. -=Ben in Indy
  9. I’m also interested in early beltline trim - tried to send you a message but it wouldn’t go through
  10. I have a set of these wheels (unrestored) and one very fine center cap. I'd be interested in a set of decals, with the hope that someday I can find 3 more caps.

  17. After my 1600's radiator was skillfully stolen by Mark Preisendorf along with countless others when I sent it in to have it re-cored, I was forced to substitute a "Radiator with high cooling rate - with original dimensions" from my amigos Albrecht Walloth u. Alexander Nesch https://www.wallothnesch.com/en/radiator-with-high-cooling-rate-with-original-diamensions-11-31-14.html
  18. might be interested in the three piece - do you have instrument cluster surround?
  19. Be sure you get an actual 1600 carb, there are differences on the intake side and jets, etc. vs a 2002 1bbl Solex.
  20. I examined these at the Vintage but passed as three were ET25 and one was ET30. Really nice wheels, advert is down.
